You dont need to wait until your ID card comes through :)
You just need the piece of paper that has the bar code on it. You'll be able to get your DL tomorrow. Don't forget to get DH to sign your form. :)
Can you please clarify which paper you are talking about here? I am moving to Dubai on Sunday and want to speed up things for the driving license... So far, all I have is my DL from Denmark + international license + 'pink slip' for my entry visa.
Don't underestimate Dubizzle, I recently found my dream role there (had posted an ad under Jobs Wanted). I had sent 1300 applications and almost lost hope. I also have positive experiences with Naukrigulf and Indeed, but I believe Bayt, GulfTalent and LinkedIn are overrated for the UAE job market, at least in my case. Recently (while visiting Dubai) I posted a newspaper ad in GulfNews and got lots of calls while I was there. I know it's a very frustrating process, but don't give up and keep searching. Good luck!
