Just wanted to let you know we got our LO's first passport today, 7 weeks to the day from it being received in Liverpool. We followed up pretty heavily, and I can see that it was printed the day Paul Pugh's assistant got back to us, so that can't be a coincidence. No update online, or call backs though, so I don't know how useful the online system and call centre will be for those checking the status of their applications.... Hope those still waiting receive theirs soon!

What about the shop assistants who rearrange everything you've touched half a second after you've touched it! I'm very sorry if my shopping is messing up the pristine display in your empty shop!! The term 'Kids' doesn't bother me at all, but I think that's a Kiwi thing. Written on a bathroom wall: Things I Hate: 1. Vandalism 2. Irony 3. Lists

Just been told by a friend that apparently the local UK applications are in the white folders, and the orange folders are the overseas applications!!!! So frustrating! We're waiting on our new baby's passport, and he's close to the deadline for visa application now. We got a reply from Paul Pugh's assistant and heard nothing since.... Meanwhile my husband's on a 3 week work trip that he agreed to only because he thought baby and I would be visiting my folks, not stuck in 50 degree heat.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2654195/May-accused-incredible-complacency-holiday-crisis-MPs-say-families-state-panic-passport-delays.html Just read this...want to cry, our passports are in those boxes somewhere...haha whoever got the message about your passport is at examination stage that is what they meant :( So just to confirm that I'm not missing something, the paying extra to fast track your passport does not apply to overseas applications do they? As bad as it sounds, I would happily hand over more money to get my passport back! edited by Pandabeer on 11/06/2014

We're in the same situation. Passport application's been off for 5 weeks now, and the processing status still hasn't been updated online. It just shows as having been received. We're kicking ourselves a bit because we could choose whether to apply for his UK or Kiwi passport first, and we went with UK, thinking it would be quicker. For an NZ passport, you need to apply for citizenship first. Big mistake.....huge.

5:30 this morning, my missing cat came home! I was just getting up to do a dawn search, and he was waiting at the back door, looking a bit skinny but otherwise totally unphased! No idea where he's been or on what kind of adventure, but he was away 5 nights and 4 days! Thanks so much to everyone on here for all the support and help! We're so relieved to have him home. I think he'll be staying inside for a while!

Hi Catlady, Still not luck I'm very sad to say. We did a perimeter search late last night, and a lap of the lake, rattling his food dish (usually gets him running) but no luck. We'll try again searching the perimeter again tonight and handing out some more leaflets during the day....thanks so much for keeping an eye out. If you don't mind me asking, how long was your cat missing for before you found her?

Thanks so much for the tips, and the wishes that we find him. We spent the day searching, putting flyers out there etc, and had a glimmer of hope when one of the security guards said he thought he'd seen him near the lake between Palmera 2 and 3 but we searched during the daytime and again at night, and saw no sign, sadly. Fingers crossed he turns up on the doorstep, wondering what all the fuss is about, but in the meantime we will keep searching. I'm afraid I don't know how to post a pic, but I've posted a link, with a photo. Hopefully that works... http://dubai.dubizzle.com/classified/lostfound/lost/pets/2014/5/24/lost-cat-reward-offered-2/?utm_source=core&utm_medium=email_trans&utm_campaign=trans_core&utm_content=seller_scam_tip_en#xtor=EPR-334[trans_core'>-[core'>-20140131-[seller_scam_tip_en'>-['>

Hi there...just thought I'd put this out there in case but our much loved cat Trigger has gone missing from Palmera 1 in Arabian Ranches. He's a big, friendly grey short-haired cat, with big blue eyes, and wearing a blue collar, with his name and my phone number on it. He's also microchipped. If anyone's seen a cat matching this description around the Ranches, we'd love to hear. He's very much missed! Thanks!
