Thanks Amy for your suggestion. I will definitely look into it. I want to make sure I put my son in a curriculum which has a strong academic focus and I can figure out his strengths in terms of subjects. Thanks a lot..

Asti, I visited the nursery and I too wasn't sure. I didn't get a great vibe. Seemed too commercial to me. So I went to aga khan early learning centre.

No actually it's not a Pakistani nursery. I just registered my son there to start in Jan. The facilities are new and they follow the highscope US approach. I read up on it and I quite liked the approach. Fosters independent thinking and provides individual attention. I wanted that until my son enters formal education. The school is a not for profit school by the aga khan foundation but there is nothing in the school that specifies any particular culture or religion. Infact the director is Australian and they have all highly qualified teachers. I do not follow the aga khan but was quite impressed with this nursery and it's facilities. It is also not for profit and they teach Arabic to the kids.

Thanks Guys. Went to check out Gulf Montessori and was not impressed at all. They were quite vague about everything and didn't give me a full tour of the nursery. I had to ask her to show me the outdoor area. In Yellow Brick, I'm a bit worried about the TV watching. She mentioned about kids having 'movie time'. I'm rather confused as to what to do. Any other personal experiences?
