It seems the salary your husband has been offered is a lump sum, which if you ask for its details will include things like basic salary, housing allowance, transportation, tickets.. etc. So the benefits are actually incorporated in the salary not given on top. Health insurance must be for all family members sponsored by your husband by law. The company has to offer health insurance, no negotiation. Do not agree that your husband pay for insurance as it can be very very expensive if done individually. Lastly, to be very frank, 50K is not very great if you have 3 children going to schools. There are no public schools for expats here and the average annual fee for good schools start at 42K for primary. And if you want to rent a decent 3 bed house you will need at least 150K a year (usually paid in 2 cheques). Also, life is quite expensive here, especially if you think of enrolling your children in sports (swimming, football, gymnastics.. etc). This is another budget in itself. I think your husband should negotiate adding either housing to be paid by the company or school allowance. Good luck!

I have visited every single nursery in Abu Dhabi before finally choosing Step By Step nursery. I cannot recommend it high enough. It is super clean at any time of the day (most nurseries where filthy at the end of the day, especially the toilets). Also, great out door space and the only nursery with a huge indoor gym and glass walls. Teachers and staff are super. Worth visiting.

Hubby: "lets go to the water park tomorrow" Me: "not possible, i get my AF tomorrow".. But wait, I'm thinking, i've had absolutely NO PMS so far! I'm usually in bed for a week before AF suffering from bad cramps. Me gets dressed and runs to pharmacy and gets a pregnancy test (didn't ask hubby cuz i wanted to surprise him) Very faint positive one day before missed period! 4 weeks so far :)

You could lie and say you couldn't get an appointment with the first lady and so had to book in again with the new one! why say anything? Just walk in and say hello... i doubt hairdresser A is going to ask I disagree. She may be cool and not ask or she may wonder internally why you switched and feel bad about it. Why take the risk of making a person feel bad if you could avoid it? When you go next time, say hi to hairdresser A (your former), engage in a small conversation like "How was your holiday? last time when you were away i saw B and i really liked the way she did my hair so i decided i want to do it the exact same way every time". Maybe tell A you will be seeing her for something else or just keep it simple and short. It is always better to be clear and honest about things even if they appear insignificant because you never know what is in the mind of the person in front of you.

Thanks HorizonMum2. Nothing in airbnb.com, and no luck so far. I had been in contact with a guy for two weeks who had the perfect house, when he suddenly apologised (seems like he got a better offer). We are travelling end of July and still have not found a suitable house.
