I'm in a similar situation my husband is currently in Qatar I'm in Australia with two child 7 and. 8 ad husbands been offered a job in Saudi
Have you moved out their yet ?? I'm in the process of research on schools ect
We moved here from the UK just over a year ago and we love it. It was purely for work reasons we moved and as its just 2 of us and a dog we didn't have children to consider but most people here who I know with kids think the lifestyle for children is pretty good. Yes, finding schools can be difficult but children grow up with lots of other children from different cultures and its very safe for them.
We like being outdoors and this is possible for at least 6 months of the year, yes it is much harder in the middle of summer but most people travel for a few weeks to avoid the heat. In terms of your dog - our dog has adjusted well, we used Qatar Vet centre to help with the relocation who were very good. He is a mixed breed with a bit of staffy and it wasnt a problem but they should be able to advise.

That's great about you dog X ? did you say their was Staffy in her ? Do you need all paper work ?
We have decided to go for it you only live once and we have Australian citizenship and from uk so nothing to loose really just got to embrace
Sydney's busy not like Perth and we feel we are existing here where as their will open more opportunities plus 7 hours to get bk to uk for emergencies not 30 !
Any advice on areas to live villas preferably husband will into ally be staying in west Bay Area close to work any areas around their X
Also are utilities payed separate as in any house or included in rent or does it depend on property ?

I know lots of Australians from Sydney who love it here . It really goes down to you as a person AND the package you are getting .
Personally , I love it here .Lots of family time , easy to find reliable house-help and the exposure to other cultures and friends is a major plus .

For us the package is 3 X as much as Husband can earn a month in Sydney so from a financial aspect it's a know brainer he will be working for Mitsubishi building the metro line his company are putting him up in the west Bay Area close to work so do you know what areas around their and schools uk curriculum I could apply for ??
I was going to apply for all British schools ! But not aware of location
