Hi OP, I wonder whether you have considered events / media / exhibition work? Dubai International Media Production Zone as an example hosts wide range of companies in these fields (one particular company that springs to mind is Action Impact). Companies like this may have positions for young people at entry level as seasonal / project temps or as trainees. I thought of this as noted you mentioned he is a good communicator, which could benefit him not only in customer service industry as others have already suggested, but also in events / exhibition type of work. All the best of luck!

Hi, I could warmly recommend Emirates Home Nursing for all home based baby/childcare assistance related services based on our personal experiences with our baby (now already a toddler). Perhaps you may wish to give them a call to ask whether they could assist you too. Hope this helps.

Hi, This exact same thing happened to us recently (we have Maxi-Cosi seat too) and we took the seat to Baby Shop in Mirdiff City Centre. They sent the seat for a repair (to the manufacturer we were told) and changed the buckle for a new one for free. Now realize you mentioned you have bought your seat from the UK, whereas we actually had bought ours from the Baby Shop in MCC but we didn't have the receipt anymore and to our surprise, they still accepted to repair it - even without any costs. The repair took a couple of days and in that time we had to use a spare car seat. Maybe worth to ask if they could help you too. Hope this helps and you get the seat fixed soon.

Affordable drop-in childcare centre for short stays (e.g. 1 - 2 hours) associated with the gyms, ideally partnering with the Fitness First chain for the mums to continue fitness regime even after having a child. As to my knowledge only Ladies Club in Jumeirah has this service.

Hi, have you looked at a website called "Gradberry" yet? This is a portal specifically geared towards student internships and graduate jobs.

Hi, Having spent a lot of time in Oman as a visitor me too had to do some quick fixing on my car some years back and recall finding many of these kind of workshops in Seeb area. Why not just ask any of the local residents or taxi drivers for details? Omani people in my experience are very approachable and happy to help.

Weekend away in Muscat or in Oman in general has been one of my favourite things to do for years. As to accommodation options, perhaps you may wish to consider Oman Dive Centre. They have small reasonably priced beach front bungalows and heaps of water based activities too right at your doorstep. If you are not intending to spend too much time at the hotel itself you may wish to give some thought to hotels in Muttrah (e.g such as Marina Hotel). These hotels are bargain priced and based at a very convenient location close to Muttrah souq area in the corniche. There are a few to choose from however you may find that all Muttrah hotels are a bit shabby, to say the least. Someone had already recommended Crowne Plaza and I'd second that opinion. Crowne Plaza has stunning views over the entire Al Qurm beach as it sits at the end of the Al Qurm beach. If you don't mind staying a little bit further away from the seafront I've found that there are lots of good priced hotels in Al Khuwair area. Out of these I've personally enjoyed Safeer International Hotel on numerous occasions as I've found it as good value for money - it has spacious rooms and is located in a peaceful neighbourhood.
