Yep you can use either, the whole chicken will obviously take longer but will stay moister as it will be on the bone. If using fillets just make sure to check them after 15 minutes

Definitely don't boil it! Season it and oven roast it. If it's pieces that you can pan fry until golden and then finish off in the oven.

I presume you want to cook the chicken and then cube or shred? Roast your chicken or chicken pieces on a bed of onions with a crushed clove of garlic, olive oil, s and p, any herbs you have. I'm with Izzy on the rotisserie chicken, dry bird, soggy skin

Do you eat breakfast? Foods like porridge or homemade muesli/granola will keep the hunger pangs away because they are a slow release carb so you should still be full until lunch without having the urge to snack until then. Also, keep a big bottle of water with you at all times, you'll get through it in the day without even realising

I hear reform at the Lakes is a nice venue, perhaps there will be good for you I am yearning for a Christmas dinner now :-) Reform is nice and the food is good but it get's very loud in there even on a week night. The bar is very close to the seating area so if you are to go try and get a table on the terrace

I agree with Daza and would do one of the golf clubs..we've done the Montgomerie 3 times at Christmas and it's got the right balance of having Christmas cheer but also quite civilised so doesn't get raucous as some of the all you can eat/drink venues do. The food is all traditional fare and very good.

I tried the same with my 2 year old, who loved being a 'big boy' for a while but then went totally off the idea a week later. I, like others have said realised he wasn't ready so didn't mention it for a few months. He is now 2 and 5 months and last week he started telling me he wanted his nappy changed when it was full - I now think he is getting ready so I re-introduced the toilet seat and all he wants to do is visit the bathroom, mainly false alarms or too late but we're getting there! You'll see the signs when she is ready

Hiya Caligurl, went into Prime Gourmet this morning and they only had the short ribs which I ended up getting. However they did they say they would order them from the warehouse for me and I could collect them this afternoon so worth giving them a call/visit. I would have ordered but I needed to get something first thing to stick in the slow cooker :-) They're also open on Fridays until 3pm Thanks so much for replying! Sounds like a trip to Prime Gourmet this weekend. I was going to throw some in the slow cooker as well. If you have a good recipe, do share! No problem at all. No great recipe I'm afraid, with ribs I tend to just cover them in a shop bought BBQ sauce, slow cook for 8 hours, add more sauce and finish off in the oven for 15 minutes for the sauce to go dark and sticky. Baked sweet potato fries and homemade american style cheese biscuits to mop up the juices mmmm

I find the same with cold cheese, it just goes hard. Quiche is a good one though as the cheese is all mixed in and remains soft. Roast Chicken pieces Wraps rather then standard sandwiches Rice/pasta/corn/potato salad Turkey and cheese Savoury muffins Chicken tikka pieces with cucumber and carrot sticks Have a look at weelicious website, there is a section on lunchbox ideas with some inventive ideas on there. If you fancy something a bit naughty how about crunchy green bean fries, PF Chang style? Make a batter out of flour, water(or hops), garlic powder, s and p. Dip beans in batter and fry up. I'd imagine the crunch would go really well with the soft salmon

Have you tried Blossom Village? I am not sure of your budget but it meets the other points on your list. They have a very structured weekly activity schedule so the kids are stimulated all morning and the last few hours are for free play in either the gym, outdoors or one of the various classrooms, a 2 week rotation on the lunches served so you know your child is getting a varied, healthy meal a day and are open from 7:30am - 6pm. We opt to do 8-5 to cut costs slightly Hope this helps

Is there such a thing as a high interest account if you haven't got thousands already? Not that it's going to make you a millionaire but it's slightly better then sitting in a current account. Then as you said watch the exchange rate and send everything back home to reap more benefits over the years - enough for retiring in that mini mansion in the countryside, or a 2 up 2 down wherever you may find yourself :-)

Oh ok, you could keep what you would need on a monthly basis in your current account and then put your savings into a high interest account every month which you would not need to touch unless a case of emergency. That's what I do and it seems to work.

A strange way to word saving money Chocfudge! Do you mean you want to invest in a business/real estate/bonds etc to make a financial gain in 10 years time or do you just want to know how to make a bigger saving per month then you are at the moment? Do you have more details, ie. where do you get your monthly income from currently? How much are you hoping to have as your cushion? You say you're a stay at home mum currently, does that mean you're looking to change this and find some work? Alot of questions I know but your post seems really vague

We've been looking to go to Hong Kong in October. Is the weather good at that time? I have been to Paris lots of times. October can be rather grey and wet in, not sure I would like to go from gorgeous Dubai weather to Paris weather in October. The City is obviously amazing, personally I think April - September is better weather wise. Yes the weather's fine during October from my experience, 25-30's shorts and t shirt weather. Can be humid but not uncomfortable

It really depends on what type of holiday you are after, they are both very different. Macau is amazing for nightlife, bars, international food and basically a party place. We loved it there as a young couple because the social scene was great. It't not a place where you can take strolls and wonder around so much as hotels are spread out over main roads and busy junctions so taxis would be the best means of transport. We went in October and it was humid but not unbearable. We spent 5 days there which was just the right amount of time Paris is an amazing place to explore and relax, weather is always going to be a gamble in Europe during that time but the city is alive, great for food, people watching and general milling about without getting bored HTH

Resident or not, ignorance of the law does not mean it doesn't apply. If she was exceeding the speed limit (yes, I'm assuming that), then I don't see why she should appeal it. Have you been around al sufouh road recently? The road changes almost on a daily basis and for a tourists that has to be paying attention not only to the signs but also to the crazy drivers in the street is a bit difficult. Apparently the speed limit is 60 and she was driving at 70. Is it the bit of road after the tunnel going from the Palm towards the Burj? It's been 60 (annoyingly) there for a couple of years now unfortunately, you may have to suck it up on this occasion I'm afraid to say No - it has not. It was reduced from 80 to 60 about a month ago. Sorry but maybe it has been changed a couple of times over the course of time as these things do here, I just remember being stung by it when I lived on the Palm a few years ago and it was definitely 60 for some time, whether it went up and down I have no idea as I don't use that route anymore

Obviously someone saw her do it! Personally, I don't think it is gross but I don't think it is acceptable either. If she is a breastfeeding mother, then there couldn't have been an odor. Some people need to think logically... So, logically, you think it's ok to feed your children in a public toilet? It's not ideal but sometimes logistically, it is necessary... I have done it many times, but not in this country... Sabrina, you did not read carefully. I was answering a question about feeding in public toilets. I will edit it so that you can understand... Re-read and stand corrected Anon....however your points made regarding the woman in question looking like a breastfeeder and therefore logically the nappy smelling of a bakery do sway in favour of her argument as oppose to against

all nappies smell - Breast fed, bottle and solids. Yes, they do. EBF diapers smell like baked goods... What a strange justification for changing a dirty nappy at a dining table And yes formula fed babies nappies smell bad for their mothers let alone for strangers trying to enjoy a meal! I have been caught out on loads of occasions and always gone for the bathroom floor with changing mat as oppose to the dining area so I don't think it is logistically nescessary Nowhere did I justify what she did. Please read carefully. I read the below carefully, kind of gives off the sense that you think it is ok if you have personally done it many times - [i'>It's not ideal but sometimes logistically, it is necessary... .... i think that private companies will just get the Sunday off. Yep that is what I was told and am expecting B*gger, I remember years back when we'd call it 'Big Eid' and plan a group getaway, we'd get at least 2 days off tagged onto a weekend It is stilll refered to as "big Eid" but not for these reasons. I know...shame it doesn't come with the big weekender anymore though
