There's no ladies queue for the first part (or ladies don't get priority, I should say). Everybody has to wait for their vehicle test results, ladies don't get their results back quicker. Generally, everybody tends to wait in the same area. I'm not sure you'll even see your Q number (the number you get as you arrive at the testing station) if you sit in the ladies waiting area and are likely to miss your turn. Once your Q number is called you will get your results then you get a number for the ladies queue.

Thanks Maroosh. How many sessions are you needing? Can you give some idea of cost please? I will make enquiries at the Cosmesurge up here.

I don't want a cover up, I want NO tattoo. I bitterly regret having a tattoo, but 25 years ago it seemed like a good idea. It's a butterfly no more than 2" big on my upper arm, but I want it GONE!

Does that give complete removal, Maroosh? How long does it take? Cosmesurge have a (part-time I think) clinic up here so I'd be interested to know details so I can ask if I can get it done here instead of RAK.

Al Shunnar was a place recommended to me, but this was a couple of years ago. Let me know if you have any luck, I'd love to get mine removed too.

That's kind of the figures I was thinking, Purple - put it at 49 but drop to 45/46 for ease. The car is a 2004 - it owes me nothing :)

I'm not helping much, am I? :D I think 47k would be fine for me. I suppose it's still 7-10% less than others are asking.

Thanks. I don't want to give it away but I'm not interested in holding out for top dollar. I thought of putting it up for 49k (in the 40's, not 50's like the others). Would 2k off something like that be enough, do you think?

Well, as I said, Better Life replaced the PCP which didn't solve the problem. They took the machine away again and said it was the heat pump. That, apparently, has been replaced and it seems to work ok for now. Better Life quoted me AED 750 to replace the PCP in mine. My dishwasher is 3 years old and I will never buy another Siemens appliance (not too thrilled with my Siemens hob and oven either). As Bosch and Siemens are the same, I won't buy Bosch either.

What is the problem (do you get a warning light? Does it not work at all?) Who diagnosed it? I have a Siemens dishwasher (Siemens and Bosch are the same) and the water supply light would come on and the machine wouldn't start. Better Life took it away and diagnosed that it needed a new PCP which they replaced. They brought it back (8 ******* weeks later!) said it was fixed and.......same problem. Wasn't the PCP at all.

I know you're wanting to do it out of kindness but there's a high chance the cat will become dependent on you for food. You will need to make sure you can feed the cat every day - what about if you go on vacation or leave? Will you be able to find someone to take over from you? You need to make sure you don't make the cat dependent on you and then leave it with no food.

I used to take one car seat (for one toddler) and it went into oversized baggage and was not counted as part of my allowance. If you have two children travelling I assume you can take two car seats. (You're leaving us???)

"I'm so happy" is a contraction of I am and is acceptable. "Am so happy" is missing the word I at the beginning and is lazy.

I love my Fisher and Paykel top loader. Would always buy new. It's been going strong for over six years with no problems. I've got four kids so it does a LOT of washing. Mine's been sitting DEAD in the corner of my dining room for ages. I have a F&P fridge that sounds like it drops ice cubes (it doesn't have a freezer) and I get puddles of water in the bottom of the fridge. I'd love to replace ALL my appliances one by one with Miele products. I bought a Miele vacuum cleaner after Irooni recommended it (did some research after, too) and love it.

I re-registered mine today. Mine is over 3 years old so needed the test. I paid AED 120 for the test then 250 for the registration, 40 for the reg card, 10 service fees (!), 10 late fees (was a week late), 10 for the sticker, 10 knowledge fee (again, !) (AED 330) This was at Al Barsha and no problem with change. They accept credit card for the last lot of payment, not sure whether cards are also accepted for the test fee. edited by Sanddy_Dogg on 10/09/2013

Are you moving for work? If so, that would be a starting point. There's not a lot of point people recommending living in Sugar Land if work is in The Woodlands, for example.

Def avoid F&P - mine's a PITA. Bitter experience has taught me to avoid any brand serviced by Better Life. I have a Miele vacuum which is great and if I thought my next move would be to similar voltage country I'd replace my appliciances with Miele.

No you can't. Sarahlou is right, a maid either has to be sponsored by her employer (and can only work for that employer) or has to be sponsored by a maid agency. Not sure what else she can do. What experience does she have.
