I've been and it's lovely! It's called Finer Things. To add to what suze63 has listed I also saw nougat, fondue chocolate, honeys, biscuits, mustards, salsas, pickles, stuffings and these little boxed sets, each with 3 jars. The sets were for cheese, roasts and toast. They also had boxed sets for chilli lovers and garlic lovers (chutneys/sauces). There was a lot of other stuff in there which I couldn't identify as the packaging was all in French. I did mention that as a non-French speaker there were a lot of items which I did't have a clue what they were. They are expecting a big shipment next month with lots of different items and said that the stock will change regularly too. They will be producing info with a broad list of what they have. They have a comments book where you can write what you would like to see and you can email them on [email protected] to suggest your own wishlist items or to check if they have something you want. Everything in the store is alcohol free so people who do not wish to shop around items containing alcohol can do so without having to worry about inadvertently buying something containing alcohol. (I assume it's the same for pork too). I hope I have all that ^^^ right as I know they read this :D ETA Although I did pop next door to buy a dark cherry and amaretto chirstmas pudding and a jar of brandy butter ;) edited by Sanddy_Dogg on 19/12/2011

Someone else posted a seperate thread about it this morning:) Oh wow, thanks so much for the info, I might take a trip this morning (only 20 mins from me!)

can someone send me directions if I post my email address? Not a secret, head up E311, take exit 103 to Dreamland Aqua Park (signposted). You'll go straight over several empty roundbouts until you come to the E11 roundabout where you can turn only right or left. Turn right. You'll go past the Emirates Motorplex on your right then you'll see a big rusty old cargo plane on the left. Take the next u-turn and turn right just before the plane (Barracuda Beach Resort).

We went on Saturday (it was packed)...all was fine. They've opened a deli there too. Upstairs, or on the ground floor? What kind of deli? Full details please :)

If you head up Umm Sequiem Road towards SZR (interchange 4), take the last right just before the northbound SZR entrance. It's signposted to RTA and also the Gold & Diamond Park. Take the first left, then first left again which will take you behind the traffic police, then take the only turn right. You'll drive past a gas station on your left and turn left just past it (all signposted). You stop at a booth on the way in and hand over your reg. cars. You'll get it back with a 2-piece ticket with a 'Q' number on it. Got to the test bay with the shortest queue and when your car is next in line, leave the reg card with one piece of the ticket number in the car and take the other piece (with the same 'Q' number into the building to your left. Make sure your warning triangle is easily visible (I leave mine on the passenger seat) or you will fail inspection. Take a seat inside and wait for your number to be called and when it is, you'll get your test certificate. You'll need to show your insurance at this desk, just ask which person yoy need to present it to. You'll get another number and will wait behind the desk where you got your test certificate for your number to be called. You'll get a number allowing you to use the Ladies queues. Over time the process has become far more streamlined than it was and he staff in the RTA centre are very helpful. edited by Sanddy_Dogg on 18/12/2011

I'm thinking excercise equipment of some sort. Although one of my girlfiends mentioned that he has apparently sold our current dining room suite to one of his mates so a new one is probably going to turn up now!! [b'>A trampoline is a great idea though!! How to drop that hint? Hmmmm[/b'> Thank you for your guesses xx In my case I would say "If you've bought me a trampoline for Christmas, I'll see you in the divorce courts for New Year." :)

I think the majority of the competitions in Dubai are fixed. Red Bull ME [u'>aren't[/u'> one of the dishonest ones - we won a trip to Brazil earlier this year and we have no affiliation with them at all :D

Can you share how to put in a link please. Thanks If you have a website you want to link to in a post, Copy the web address and Paste it into your post. Highlight it then click on the LINK symbol above. It looks a bit like a couple of chin links and is between the [u'>U[/u'> symbol and the colour palette symbol.

Mine are lovely. They irritate slightly occasionally (and any human being can do that to me) but their hearts are in the right place and they treat me as one of the family. Their home is mine to enjoy (I do realise that I am incredibly lucky to in-laws that are wonderful ;)) ETA Mine are 11,000km away... edited by Sanddy_Dogg on 07/12/2011

The businesses concerned don't exactly cover up what they're doing though. Many of them have their counterfeit goods on open display. I doubt this thread highlights anything the authorities don't already know as all anyone has to do is walk around and feign interest.

I'm going to echo chocs here - please go to a GP/gynaecologist to get a recommendation for the pill for the first time. It's not something that can be recommended from one person to another.

Thanks Sanddy for the link, its calculated how much postage is required. just ove 100 AED. But, has anyone actually sent a 'Jiffy Bag' in the normal mail box 'like an envelope'? Yes, that's what they're designed for. If you take it in to a post office to buy your stamps they will tell you if there's a problem, which I'm sure there won't be.

Weigh it then go here http://tinyurl.com/d27gm9 to calculate how much it will cost to send. We can't tell you how many stamps to put on it, it will depend on the weight of the package.

I agree with IAMVP - don't do it, it's simply not wroth the potential trouble. If he really wants a bottle of booze, he'll find a way to get it without involving you/DH.

My 12 year old DD is desperate and I will probably get her one despite having some reservations. She does go to the mall or cinema with friends so the phone part would be useful for that. She and DS get the bus to school so I like her to send me an sms to say they are there. She has a chores list for which she earns money. I currently take some of her chores money to top up her current last-legs mobile but do pay some myself as I insist on some texts so it's only fair I pay for them. If she gets a BB she will be expected to contribute to its running cost.

And not a very good one. "They" simply removed the rear hump rather than giving it one proper shaped hump.

When that picture was first added the camel itself had two humps. When lots of people pointed out that Bactrian camels are not found in this region they changed it, but must have forgotten to edit the reflection too. edited by Sanddy_Dogg on 03/12/2011
