Oh you have so much to learn :) I have actually (accidentally) sprayed the screen or keyboard with whatever I've been drinking when I've unexpectedly read something hilarious. TMI!! If someone admits that "PMSL" was a reality for them you're gonna need the smelling salts :D

I think I'd be tempted to buy a new lock rather than risk the LL/agents/Whoever having keys to your place (unless it's in your contract that you can't change locks of course).

It would depend on which of the 3 parts of the FTZ you'd be in. If it's the technology park it's not too bad. It's near Al Hamra and there's a road off the E311 that cuts across to that area. The business park is near the Hilton and the industrial park is way up north, I'd say a good hour and a half from Mirdif, and the traffic through that part of RAK is awful.

I can get from Mirdif City Centre to the roundabout at the end of Emirates road in about 45 to 50 mins, but this is never at peak time. It depends where in RAK you would be based. Somewhere near the school would take another 15 mins from the roundabout, somewhere near Manar Mall or RAK Hilton (beach)an extra 20 mins. There are also roadworks on the main road into RAK city at the moment and I can't see them helping the traffic situation any.

It should be on one side of the a/c unit. If it's very dirty it won't look like a filter but something covered in dust! It might have little tabs hanging off the bottom which you can grab to lift it up and out of the unit.

My Toyota Prado has it and it's not a new car. It only has 2-point fixings but newer cars have 3-point fixings. I'm not sure how the standards relate to GCC cars though. As I said, the Prado is Isofix/LATCH compatible and hopefully owners of different vehicles will come on and let you know of other options. Personally i wouldn't get Isofix fittings installed retrospectively, there are enough cars that come with it as standard.

I often used to go to Ipswich shopping when I lived south of Lowestoft - it could be quicker to get to than Norwich sometimes. There was a place on Southwold Harbour called Christina Cara's which had THE best fish and chips I've ever tasted!! Only got a few days in London this year, never had time to get up to Suffolk :(

Just looked at one of my old bills to see which heading the number HSBC accepts comes under. Yes you're right, it's the 9 digit "Premise No." and not the 10 digit "Contract No." that needs to be entered.
