Hi there! If I go back to the UK for a short visit, can I reclaim the VAT paid on purchases made during my stay? Would appreciate your assistance here as would like to buy something quite expensive. Thanks so much.

Hi there, my husband has an immediate vacancy for a native English speaking legal assistant/secretary, if she is interested let me know and we can take it from there.

Has anyone had a child attend an assessment at DESS? My son has one next week and I am not sure how or what we can do to prepare him for the assessment, any tips or words of advice would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks!

My son is 8 years old, I would appreciate any advise as your sons went to the school. I think he will find it really difficult at home for a whole term and I am unable to teach him myself as I have twin babies...... look forward to hearing from you. Thank you so much.

Hi there, I was wondering whether there are any schools that would take my son for only one term, i.e. April 2012, or whether there are any places where he can go whilst waiting to start school in the Summer. We will be moving to Doha very soon and this is a BIG worry of mine. Look forward to hearing from you.

That's the price range we have been told too! so seems like they have not been reduced. The rents are really high, do you think that you are getting good value? Did you have your own furniture or did you buy new furniture from Doha? We do not want to buy furniture as we have no idea how long we will be living there. Where does your 12 year old go to school? Are you from the UK? Thank you so much for all your help.....

Picklz hello, Thank you so much for your response. My husband has seen lots of compounds including Beverly Hills and Al Fardan Gardens but much prefers Tameer Village. If you don't mind me asking, do you live in a 3 or 4 bedroom villa, how much rent are you paying and is your villa semi furnished or fully furnished and most importantly what is the length of your contract, 12 months, 24 months or any longer. It is a nightmare trying to negotiate terms of a contract when you are an expat! its really difficult...... Will let you know how we get on. Many thanks!:)
