Hi, I am planning a move to Dubai next summer (2017). I will be looking for a teaching or leadership role. I was wondering if anyone could advise me on what is a good teaching salary and does it include things like accommodation, reduced school fees for children etc. Also if you are a teacher which schools would you recommend? I am a social science teacher. I have teaching and been a curriculum manager for 13 years but am currently working as a supply teacher as it gives me the flexibility to complete my M.A.Any teachers out there home truths about teaching in Dubai would be really helpful. Thanks:)

Hi, I was just wondering how the job search went - were you successful? I ma looking at moving to Dubai in August 2017 and am going out this year to visit some schools with my CV and covering letter. I have been looking at jobs that come up but my field - Social sciences is quite rare. What do you teach?

Hi, I am planning a move to Dubai in August 2017. I am a 6th form teacher in the UK. Currently I am supply teaching as I doing an MA in Social Anthropology. I would really like to get to know what it's like to teach in the UAE in particular 6th formers and any advise you could offer in getting a teaching job. Thanks

Hi, thanks for the reassurance. Could anyone tell me if there are clubs etc where we can begin to get to know people before we move. My husband currently lives in Silicon Oasis, we have not decided where we will move to next year I guess it will depend on work (mine) and school. Are there any teachers (6th form in particular) on the forum? I am supply teaching at the moment in the UK as I am also a part-time MA student and will be looking at returning to teaching when I get to Dubai. Any advise? Thanks Sarita

Hi, currently I am living in the UK while my husband lives and works in Dubai. I am planning a move to Dubai next summer (2017) after our daughter finishes her GCSE's.
