My neice has been going since she was 2 (now 3) and she loves it! ( they live in JBR and i know it not far and the class names are fishes or sea animals if anyone recognizes that?) My brothers company pay for that so no idea of cost, but my SIL has a 1 year old also so wanted her to have time to adjust ands she loves it and has lots of friends. Only weird thing is that with an english father (essex accent) and indian mother, she now has a full on american accent lol

My brother and SIL got married in Dubai nearly 6 years ago St francis of Assisi Church in jebel Ali, it a beautiful church and they was married by Father Eugene and since then they have had 2 children here in dubai and had both their christenings at same church. My brother (english) was christened as a child (although our family is in no way religious) and my SIL (indian) is catholic. I know my brother had to provide his christening certificate and they had to attend marriage classes prior to the wedding, but apart from that was a very easy process and a lovely wedding in a lovely venue.

http://www.stfrancisjebelali.ae/gallery/church.htm My brother and sil have been in dubai 8 years (had both their children here, post marriage) and married at the above church. Both their children been christened here since. My brother and our family are not at all religious although we was both christened as seemed to be the 'in thing' in 80's in UK lol But this church is beautiful and very big, although my bro and sil had very small wedding. We had reception back at my parents villa in the meadows and catered by a hotel who provided everything (tables, decorations, waiters, chefs, etc etc)

Love Frankies, Thyme though i went witha large group and it was awful, the rare steak i ordered was well done and served in a metal curry dish?!, my dads fish was raw, 2 people couldnt even eat theirs and service terrible considering there was only 2 other tables, would not go back. When my friend was over we went Bhudda Bar, Bar 44, The one and only and ended in Barasti one drunken thurs night..i think!

Although i have brought my ozzie credit Cards, i have been using my Commonwealth EFTPOS here in various cash machines at the malls with no problems. EFTPOS is basicallly a bank debit card, but the australian ones do not have chips therefore only can be used in cash machines. Although not sure what "an internationally enabled eftpos" is?? maybe its a special one?? i didnt inform my bank i was travelling and no problems. Only problem i have had is when using my credit card which i have no pin for and have had a few arguments when been told i need the pin. When i had used it about 20 times already at carrefour, got manager over etc who said no longer available, swore blind it was a new thing implemented that morning when i pointed out had only used in there yesterday, i didnt believe him so went to a cashier a few down and it worked, called manager over and told him not to tell lies. Now if they ask for pin i just override it myself with the enter button or cancel, not sure which but i punch a few in and it works everytime.lol.
