About 3 months worth at a time. Ordered it from Amazon then shipped it here with S&S if worked out cheaper than buying it here and more variety of flavours. I ordered the powder and bars.

Why can't your husband get his own spoonful of probiotics? Sounds to me like you treat your DH like a child, making him a healthy breakfast coz you think he's feeling delicate. Correct me if I'm wrong but I assume he is a grown man so can choose what he wants to eat and when. If I saw someone treating my grown adult son like a two year old think I'd be upset too. Am with the MIL with this one sorry. HNY :)

Facetime is blocked here, however my iMessenger works and my phone was bought here from Etisilat. iMessenger only works if the people you are messaging have updated the software on their iPhones. When you send a normal sms the message you send is highlighted green this means you are being charged when you send an sms to an updated iPhone with iMessenger the message is highlighted a light blue (no charge).

Seriously, Dr. Anna of Dubai London Clinic. is the worst dr ever. My abdominal pain is because I am pregnant! She did an ultrasound on me and told me I didnt even have eggs and I was actually pregnant. I should say am pregnant. Happy for the news, unhappy with the fact that she prescribed medicine for me that may have adverse effect on the pregnancy and I would have sent me for some balloon procedure to open up my tubes that were obviously fine. How many weeks are you now? It is possible not to see the foetus through ultrasound in the early stages of pregnancy. Did Dr Ana herself do the ultrasound or were you sent to a technician? I also find it strange that it wasn't only Dr Ana that didn't pick up on you being pregnant but two other Drs aswell, are you sure you didn't get pregnant after seeing these three Drs? Anyway good luck on your pregnancy and hope you are happy with the Dr you have now.

I agree with Sizzles, I think your friends have given you good advice. Email him a link to houses within his budget, he can arrange with people to see them. If he wants your opinion then he can ask you to meet him there or somewhere near by then you can drive there together. Don't drive the guy around all the time, get him to meet you at the destination and then maybe offer him a lift home if it's not out of your way. If it is out of your way then let him catch a taxi home. If he wants to pick you up but doesn't have a car then let him pick you up in a taxi, don't say "don't worry I have a car I'll pick you up." Regarding restaurants either go dutch or take turns in paying the bill. Don't pay it every time you go out.

Herbalife. Started one week ago and already lost 2 pounds. Did it also years ago and lost 12kg in 3 months. What is this exactly? It's a meal replacement program where you drink two shakes a day and take vitamin supplements. http://www.dubaiherbal.com

Rules are a little different in DXB to AD. I know people who are single mothers in AD and never married but they used fake divorce papers to get their visas it was the only way they could do it and I have no idea how they faked them. Another friend added her friend's name on her child's birth certificate as the father, they then got married and divorced. Don't know if that's an option for you. Have you tried talking to the head of immigration in AD? They sometimes bend things if they feel/understand your story. Did you include the no objection letter the first time? Sometimes if a different person deals with it it's enough.

to save retyping what I wrote on that, and because I'm really worried that there will be mums out there thinking there is a problem with their milk here is the link to AussiePups "watery milk thread" http://www.expatwoman.com/qatar/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=166467 But there actually maybe something wrong with their milk so mothers who are struggling should go and see a doctor and a lactation specialist. I did have something wrong with my milk and everyone kept saying all bodies are made to supply the right amount of milk for babies, just hang in there it will come right. It didn't and if I'd gone to see someone earlier instead of listening to everyone else telling me I was wrong when I said I thought something wasn't right I would've saved myself a lot of heart ache and guilt.

Hi AussiePup, I went through this with all three of my children, it was Paula who actually diagnosed me with it and helped me deal with it. I had to have tests and stuff it wasn't just by looking at my expressed milk. Baby no 1 had to be supplemented with formula. Baby no two was latched on continuously all day until she was a year old, she had to feed for 45min stretches on the hour to get enough hind milk, she wouldn't take a bottle so it was purely on me to make sure she got enough fat, she was miserable and extremely hungry all the time. Baby no 3 I had even less fat than the other two and was told to put him on to formula. He was 2 weeks old and dropping weight quite rapidly. I felt really guilty at first, but he's such a happy satisfied baby that I wished I'd put the other 2 on formula from the beginning. It would of made all our lives less stressful. I was on a bucket of vitamins, oils, high protein and good fat diet but it didn't seem to make a difference to the fat content or quality in my milk. Good luck xx edited by starsouthern on 04/12/2011

I'm on baby no 3 and have never fully childproofed our home. Anything that is breakable that I don't want broken I have put on a high shelf, chemicals out of reach or in a locked cupboard and stairgates on stairs. I figure it's best to teach kids not to touch things etc. If you visit other people or go away on holiday those places won't be childproofed. Baby Shop. Toys R Us and Mothercare have baby proofing kits and maybe you can call a company like jim will fix it to install the things that need installing if you really want to do the whole thing.

Compounds near Internet city are The Lakes, Meadows, nahkeel villas, the arenco villas, falcon villas and there is a compound behind Wellington international school but can't remember the name. Arabian Ranches is also not that far away but further out than the above. Schools in these areas are American school of Dubai, Wellington international, emirates international, Dubai american academy, Dubai international academy, Regent School, Gems World Academy, and Dubai British School.School fees range from 6k AED per term to 30k per child depending on school and grade/year group. DEWA (water & electricity) ranges from 3500 per month to about 7k, on a four or five bed villa. We love living here and yes some things are very expensive but the experience you have here is what you make it. edited by starsouthern on 01/12/2011

Hi DC, my friend had a tummy tuck, she was always very thin but after two kids she just couldn't get her tummy back to normal. She tried everything, personal trainers, physio you name it she tried it. When her youngest was 5 she went for a tuck and she looked amazing. Her tummy looked like a 16 year olds! Her scar is equivalent to a c section scar. It took her 6 weeks to recover. She said it wasn't painful it kind of felt like she had done 200 sit ups in one go. I know how you feel, my third is 5 months old and I look like I'm still pregnant! Congrats on your little girl xx

I pumped for a year with baby 1 but rented a medical grade medela. I used to get 200mls per side in 10mins. I bought the freestyle for baby 2 and could only get Max 80ml in 10mins she wouldn't drink out of a bottle so I gave up.

I am ordering a City Select too, although it will come from the US as it is much cheaper. Looks like a great stroller I have my heart set on a City Select too, would love to know where you are ordering from and how much delivery would cost. I have never ordered a large item from abroad before and finding it a little intimidating, can only imagine that it would cost a fortune & need a dummies guide?! Has anyone actually tried / handled the Zoom from ABC design? I have looked at that one too and wondering how it compares to the City Select... Thanks! Sorry ...only saw your post now. Email me on [email protected] and I'll give you all the details. Zoom is being sold as Obaby brand in the UK so plenty of shops online sell it. The reason I prefer the City Select compared to this and all other side by side strollers, is that the City Select is a single seater when you need single and double when u want a double. Compared to P&T, I don't like the second child being so low, I know my kids will fight to sit in top seat so both have a view...this is where City scores! My mum test drove the CS at John Lewis and says it is very sturdy and solid. HTH edited by TurkishDervish on 22/11/2011 If you can't be bothered clicking on the second seat for the Select my daughter fits into the shopping basket at the bottom as it's so big :) More than welcome to come and look at it if you want to see before you buy one. Shop n ship quoted me AED1800 to ship it from the US but I'm sure there are other ways of doing it. I was lucky and had a friend who brought it over for me. edited by starsouthern on 23/11/2011

I second dr. Shola from Dubai London Clinic in Jumeirah. She goes the extra mile - doesnt make me paranoid and doesnt push meds. x I went to Dr Shola when my regular pediatrician was away. I was told by her when my daughter was 16 months old that she could be autistic and that when she was 18months old I would have to bring her in for the AED3500 test. I had taken my daughter in because she had a high fever and was vomitting. My daughter is nearly 3 now and is in no way autistic. If she had been my first child I would have been devistated but since she wasn't I knew that what this doctor was saying was absolute bull.

My 7 year old is very good at maths in the Maths Wizz test he came up to the 10 year old level, but he found doing the lessons a bit of a struggle by himself. I think that it's because the lessons are created for the level that he tested at if you know what I mean.

I think your teacher is expecting way too much at this stage. My son went into FS without being in nursery first and couldn't write, it wasn't till the end of FS 1 that they started writing up till then they did letter and number recognition and formation by painting or gluing things on to shapes. I would also ask the teacher that if she has any concerns in the future could she address them privately.

We would have to fly to Cape Town and in a situation like that I really would like fly direct and not have a horrible stopover in Jo'burg... I was sort of thinking that there are quite a few flights out of here on a daily basis but just don't want my DH to have to wait and be too late if the situation god forbid might occur. My friend had to do this recently and she got a ticket using miles on emirates for the next day after she got the news. edited by starsouthern on 17/11/2011

I bought a Babby Jogger City Select and love it! I have a four month old and nearly three year old. You can clip the carseat on aswell as have the toddler in a full size chair, which lies down completely. Unfortunately you have to buy it from overseas as it's not available here. http://tinyurl.com/d7cfgo9

Baby no 1 i bought most things before 21 weeks. He was a bigish baby so didn't fit any of the new born stuff I bought him. Baby no 2 started shopping at 32 weeks, becuase baby 1 was big I bought her 0-3 months clothes which were all too big for her coz she was only 7lbs. Baby no 3 bought most things after he was born as the other two were completely different sizes from each other that I thought I would wait and see how big/small he would be. Good thing I waited he was 10lbs and 2 feet long! Generally though I would say buy pushchairs, carseats basinetts etc by around 36 weeks.
