http://www.sharjahtourism.ae/en/heritage/museums/arabias-wildlife-centre Younger visitors will enjoy walking around the Children’s Farm (+97165311127), which is located next door to the Wildlife Centre. Children can pet and feed their favourite domesticated animals, and ride ponies and camels at the weekend. (access to all Sharjah Desert Park venues) Adult Dhs 15, Children (12 – 16 years) Dhs 5, Children (under 12) Free My 7 and 2 year old loved it! Go on the Dubai By Pass Rd (611) Take the Al Dhaid exit.... you'll come on to a 2 lane highway as if heading towards Fujeirah. Keep driving straight until you see the signs for Sharjsh Memorial, childrens Farm, Wildlife Centre and Natural Museum. Really easy to get too. Have fun.

Hiya, The one and only has changing rooms down at the hammam part which you can use... Also, you could try the fairmont hotel which has a lovely spa and pool. Not sure about kids though as haven't taken any.

Be prepared to be given ridiculous offers and rude emails! Only take cash, and take a deposit if someone says they want the car. People don't come when they say they will so don't plan anything else on the day you want to show the car. Don't sign any paper work at the RTA until you have the cash in your hot little hands. I was selling a 2003 hatch back in 2009 and the person who said would take it and gave me a deposit said just before were were about to sign the paperwork oh I thought your car was 2007 not 2003. I want to pay less! I was like seriously lady who sells a 2 year old car for AED11,000 if you don't want it now for the agreed price then I'll keep your deposit and sell it to the other person who wants it. She quickly changed her mind and gave me the cash. Goodluck!

Yes, babies can get rotavirus more than once. Each time they get it they build up immunity so it isn't as bad as the time before.

Hello all! I just recently joined the boards since we will be moving to Dubai in the next few weeks. I am 24 weeks pregnant with my second, due June 29th. I also have a 4-yr-old daughter. I'm looking forward to meeting other moms with kids/babies close in ages. We're looking at villas in Arabian Ranches, the Villa, and a couple other places. Has everyone already registered at a hospital? That will be priority on my list of things to do upon arrival. Good luck to all, hope to meet some of you soon! I'm due on the 29th too :)

While I realize you may want a girl this time around - the question is what will you do if it is another boy? I only ask because my sister has 4 boys (and would have dearly loved to have a little girl) and lost one to miscarriage. No judgement intended - but do you want another child? I don't think the OP is saying she wouldn't want another boy I think she's just asking if there is a way to increase her chance of having a girl. I don't think there is anything wrong with her wanting to have a girl. For my first I really wanted a boy, for my second I really wanted a girl and for my third I really wanted another boy, just because it's what I wanted it doesn't mean that I wouldn't have loved them if they came out opposite to what I was hoping for.

I think it's rude to assume the sibbling is invited whether you drop them off or not. Birthday Parties are for the Birthday Child and his or her friends not his or her friends plus others. We've always had parties at home, never get RSVPs so it's not the cost involved for us when extras come along it's just that they don't know the other kids. Some are too old so get bored others too young so can't join in and no I am not a free baby sitting service. Most parents unless friends of ours don't stay, they haven't stayed since birthday no 5. Drop one child off at the party and take the other one out for icecream or do something fun together for the duration of the party. You don't have to go far away, and if you leave your contact details the parents will call you if you're needed.

Shame Leen that is awful, I was very lucky this time around and was hardly sick at all. Just had a scan, I'm 26 weeks and all is well, got some really cute pictures. We have a big boy coming our way thought as already measuring 2 weeks and 3 days ahead! Hope all the June babies mums are doing well :) We're having a boy too who's also measuring 2 weeks 3 days ahead! My first boy was 9 pounds and he always measured bigger than his due date, my little girl was 7 pounds so who knows how big this one will be! Was sick as a dog through the whole pregnancy with my little girl but both boys have been fine. Hope everyone else is doing well too.

I think maybe your DD isn't ready for potty training. If you have to put her on every time it's habit not the same as the ability to go on her own. Some kids aren't ready to be trained until after 3. Seeing it's so stressful and not good for you or your new baby I'd leave it for a while and wait until she asks you to use the toilet. My friend had twins 1 was trained at 2.5 years the other at nearly 4. My son took 3 weeks to train even though he initiated it my daughter 3 days. It won't hurt you or her if you leave it for a while.

Dr. Keith Nicholl of KNMC on Jumeirah Beach Road (04-3941000). His medical centre however doesn't do direct billing with the insurance companies. So, you have to pay and claim. Has been DD's doctor since she was 2 months. Now at 4, DD would run to him and give him a big hug whenever we see him 8-) He is just awesome and put new mothers at ease. http://www.keithnicholl.com/services edited by blimey on 14/02/2011 Second Dr N! he's been my kids doc for 7 years now.

My DD is 2 years 1 month, she asks to go to the toilet about 6 times a day from when she wakes up to bath time. Sometimes more often if she's had a bit more to drink. Some days she can go 3 hours without needing to do anything others she goes 3 times in half an hour.

I bought the Cushie last week at mothercare Dubai mall for my little girl and it's fantastic. Really easy to use, folds away nicely and easy to wipe down after use. She finds it comfy enough for no 2's and it fits nearly all toilets. Best thing I've bought in ages! edited by starsouthern on 14/02/2011

Did you put a post on the feline friends facebook page? I know it seems hopeless but my cat went missing for 2 months. Someone found him, I brought him home he stayed a week disappeared for 3 weeks, came home for 4 days then disappeared for 2 weeks. He walked through the door a month a go and hasn't left since. As Kylie says they're much tougher than we think. Fingers crossed for you.

Dr Isabella/Dr Agnes Roze Dr's Nicholas & Asp They cover Mirdif, Jumeirah and Marina I second that! Dr Izabella was amazing when my toddler smashed one front tooth then 12 months later almost knocked the other front tooth out! Her care and gentle manner with my little one was wonderful. Dr Izabella was great when my son knocked his tooth out too.

Ok first wash your hair again and condition it. Then you can try two things: 1 Wash hair with dishwashing liquid, condition repeat as often as needed but make sure you condition after each shampoo. 2. Buy 30vol or 9% developer (most supermarkets have a Wella one) or just use the developer only that comes in the box, mix equal parts with your shampoo, lather and leave for 10mins then rinse and condition. Repeat if needed. Otherwise go to your hairdresser who can strip it for you.

Zedzee NZer's are native English speakers they just have a different accent just like American's, Australian's Canadian's and every area of the UK has it's own accent. Just some quick facts about NZ http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Zealand?wasRedirected=true Personally the accent a teacher has doesn't matter as long as grammar and pronounciation are correct. I heard a story the other day of a little girl who came home from school as proud as could be and said to her mummy "mummy mummy I know what an otter is!" "what is it?" asks mummy "a person who writes books!" replies 4 year old. edited by starsouthern on 31/01/2011

I am sure you meant well Glitter, but sorry, i dont agree with the list. U dont need a crib/moses, etc. Its lists like this that discourage co-sleeping. Cant understand why baby cant sleep in the bed with the parents. And no, not everyone needs a breast pump, or bottles or sterilizers. For someone on a budget, this list isnt useful. I am not even sure what a top&tail bowl is! All u really need is a pair of working boobs, diapers and some sleep suits and you are set to go. Everything else really depends on lifestyle and as and when required :) Well thats my opinion!:) How do I now get my 2 year old out of our bed? Both hubby and I get no sleep as she's always kicking/snoring/moving around the bed and stealing the blankets? HELP!!!

I love PDA and I hold DH hands when we are out. I think people should to it more often and I have seen many local couples holding hands here. I understand that we should respect the local culture, but the world would be a sad place without the hugging and kissing. I also love seeing couples kissing, I think is magical and beautiful and says everything about their relationship and passion. Maybe I'm too romantic... I'd rather my child see love than war! Superlike! My other half and me are always holding hands and the ocassional peck is lovely. I love how his face brightens up when he gets an unexpected peck on the cheek/neck/lips. My fav is when he kisses my forehead. Been here forever, not been to jail yet! Of course we have to be sensible and be aware of where we are, but its okay if a few kids (including my own) see us holding hands as opposed to seeing couples oblivious and ice cold to their partner's existence. Had very long good bye hugs at the airport. As long as one is not displaying sexual feelings I really see nothing wrong in a happy couple walking along holding each other's hands. edited by summerdream on 19/01/2011 Ditto been here forever too and haven't been arrested, I think as long as it's not offensive it's ok.
