Latifa can be busy depending on the time of day you go, however I'd still choose there over anywhere else (for paediatric illness). For trauma (adult or child) Rashid is also excellent - yes it's less luxurious however their care is fantastic.

Reminds me of the time I suggested an after-work-get-together to colleagues for DH's birthday (not DH yet) at the pub next door to our office. Only once we arrived some members of the party were most shocked that I was not paying for all their food and drink, with one even telling me that as I had 'invited' everyone it was assumed I was paying for everything - I could just about scrape enough together for a few bags of crisps :\: until one kind gent stepped in and paid for snacks for everyone!

Satwa would be your best bet, or at least they will tell you where to go, but you'll need to take lots of pictures of it with you and explain exactly which bit you are looking for! There are industrial/hardware type shops on Plant St (Hubaiba St) - start there!

Call Prime Limousine or www.careem.com, you'll be able to get a bus with driver. It would not be a good idea to drive a bus if you have never driven one before, even if that is legal.

- you say "UK". Everyone from "The UK" says "The UK", unless you are in "the UK" where people will say England, Scotland etc. - you know that at at any get together somehow a maid will come into conversation! - you are not surprised to see any sort of animal in a car or on a street - you love it when your neighbours are from many different religions as that means treats during all their celebrations :D

Dear OP, it's not you. Little boys are[i'> supposed [/i'> to be unruly, it's what they do best! ;) Be very firm in your approach - don't underestimate sticker/reward charts with a big treat at the weekend if he gets to 25 stickers (for example). Continual talking about the positive behaviour (even if it feels like there isn't any, ha) works too. Find something that he *does* care about losing (Ipad etc?) and use that as your bargaining tool! At this age he understands the concept of consequences so be very firm, sit and talk to him about the new plan and how it is going to work. When he's good, and gets 25 stickers, he'll get XYZ. When he's not, he will lose XYZ. Have a look at his diet too. Thanks to a lovely EW'er I found out ours is very sensitive to anything with orange colouring (bouncing off walls) and when you think about how many things this is in, orange, mango juice etc it could be something as simple as that which is just making him feel bouncy! Make sure everyone in your house is following the same plan. I.e. if you have a maid who is giving him back his toys after you have taken them away, he's not going to learn. You are not alone - at 4 years old they have a big burst of testosterone and are just trying it out - keep strong! Good luck! :) edited by Tattie Bogle on 22/03/2014

If you mean actual chalets Swiss style - I guess the nearest thing would be the rooms at Hatta Fort, they are all wooden inside and look a bit chalet-like! The Kempinski MOE also has chalet style rooms overlooking the ski slope.

Well. It turns out that I thought *someone* had better eat the mini santa things before they go out of date from LO's stocking and they seem to be some sort of creme egg in disguise - cunningly shaped like mini santas! And I have two whole boxes of them. To eat before April no less! mwaaaaahahahah!

From Ibn Battuta get the metro to Burjuman/Khalid Bin Walid, you'll then get off and change to the other line. My route would be :) Get off at Al Fahidi Street but ask for the exit that is nearest the Museum (there are 4 exits). Walk down towards Bastakiya/The Museum, take a wander round Bastakiya stopping in the Arabian Tea House cafe for lunch. From there, walk down the alleyways/side streets past the temple stopping to look at Indian/sari type fabrics etc. Eventually reaching the textile souq which has lots of touristy type things and nice pashminas/shoes etc. Cross on the abra over to the other side and wander round the spice souk/gold souk - abra back over and stop at Bait Al Wakheel (inside the textile souk) for a mint lemonade to watch the sunset and the boats coming in from abroad. Walk along beside the creek to Gubaiba station to get back to Burjuman, change train & back to Ibn Battuta. *watch your timings as some of the shops in the spice souk may not open 1pm-4pm.

Hi, If you are starting your tour from the top end, i.e near the Dubai Museum, Bastakiya area then the nearest stop would be Al Fahidi Street and if you are starting from the textile souk area and abras, then it would be the next stop which is Al Gubaiba. Have fun!! :)

Ah Cleo, I'm sure every Mum in the world has had a put-down at some point - don't take it to heart. Sleep deprivation is a killer, and can make you feel so much worse. I think you need to concentrate on a) getting sleep issues sorted, b) getting help even if temporary (can you get an agency maid to come for a couple of hours a day and get a nap?) and c) building up a good support network, with *nice* friends who are there for you at any time of day or night and who don't feel the need to make random comments! I'm sure you will get lots of helpful replies but feel free to reach out for cyber-hugs!

In law, how is pre-meditated even defined? one scenario is a murderer thinking he will murder someone in the future (tomorrow) so having rope/bin bags/other murdery-type equipment and plotting it all out, but another might think they are going to shoot someone one minute in the future through a bathroom door - how is the length of time determined for it to be pre-mediated or not?

I was thinking about this last night. The fact is, he deliberately shot *someone* - whether it be his girlfriend or the person he thought was breaking in to steal a bottle of shampoo. So on that basis, he is guilty of murder.
