Yes, you park in the car park that is the same gate for the Dolphinarium but walk in a straight line towards the big building in the middle of the park, it's all indoors. You'll love it. so will she. :D

Children's City in Creek Park, lots of exciting buttons to press and things to do. Only 10/15 AED to get in. Nice planetarium for some chill out time, shows every hour in Arabic/english Burger place inside too. Pony ride on the way out. Job done ;)

I had an episiotomy/tearing/forceps and it was a number of weeks before I could even walk properly. 6 years on and i'm still not sure things have returned to normal! Although I've only one child I have also had a myomectomy which is similar to a Csection and apart from the initial couple of days it was a walk in the park compared to a natural birth! There is a reason for this! English notes are underwritten by the Bank of England, (the government's bank) while Scottish notes are not, so essentially they are more risky than an English note. Any Scottish person knows they are worth more. :-P

I agree with RuthM in going in person. But start with the PO Box that you and your DH's mail goes to (his company PO box, unless you have a personal one too.) It may be with one of the other larger ones, but the post office staff are very helpful and should be able to point you in the right direction. :)

Joyce, some people actually felt quite strong movement and furniture shaking etc. The feelings of nausea/dizziness are quite common when there is an earth tremor, I've felt it personally a number of times over the years here when there is a quake in Iran. Iran experiences a lot of earthquakes, unfortunately. There was an extremely bad one about 10 years ago and many UAE companies were involved in getting food boxes etc together.

Keep an eye on Dubizzle and Souq.com too, I picked up a 100 yr old item the other week. :) I guess on Ebay a lot of the time it is relatives clearing out old houses which you wouldn't get so much of here. You can find the odd thing though. Around Bastakiya in the arty shops there are the odd items but you have to rake for them. I'm looking for an antique chair if anyone is selling one!! :)

Yes, she would be fine to go there, though as it's not an emergency as such she might be triaged to wait for a while - it would be better to time it to go at around 7am if possible (guess that would be a quieter time?). Definitely not afternoon/evening!

Rashid Hospital would be a good option as they will be used to dealing with bad burns on a daily basis with car accidents/work accidents etc. Hope she is ok.

You can try just with the UAE stamp, that's what I do. Sometimes they are accepted, sometimes not. If they are not, then you will need them stamped by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If you get there before 8am it is nice and quiet and you will be in and out in ten minutes. :) The MOFA is located not far from Burjuman mall - you will see the building it is a pink building with a UAE flag on the top (huge building) - you enter from the other side, it's down near all the consulates. Just shout if you need any info.
