Hi ladies im moving to Doha hopefully before the end of Febuary so i would love to join in with your coffee Mornings,always nice to meet new people..I will be moving on to WestBay so will need to get to know all areas as dont know Doha at all....

Hi Frazzle Im also moving to Doha next month as my Hubbie been Transfered with work..I went over last week for a few days to look at some property..We had a lovely lady called Maureen from Apollo Real Estate show us round & we found an Apartment on West Bay..I can get her No off hubbie if you want & she might be able to help you with property search..I dont have small children mine are grown up with kids so not sure about schools,but have a look on events page on here for info..I also lived in Dubai for 4yrs & have been in Abu Dhabi for 2yrs so moving again is just another adventure for us,im sure its just what you make it & new friends are out there to be made..As my husband works for a Large Company,once we get settled im going to have a get together(coffee morning) for all the newbies wifes,so we can all meet & make friends & advise each other on different things..You would be quite welcome to come along if you wanted to..Hope you get the Info you need..

Hi Folks well just arrived back from been in qatar for a few days & glad to say we have found an Apartment in the Sara residence Tower in West Bay..We looked at a few places & it was between Sara & Beverly hills,but the Beverly hills was inbetween 2 building sites so was to Noisey..So Back to start Packing up ready for moving in the next few weeks..Thanks to everyone for all the usefull info & would be glad of any info as to coffee mornings,Ladies get togethers so i might get to meet some of you nice people......

Thanks all for the Info,My hubby in Qatar now & he is looking at some places to rent this week,he is goin to be working there now but flying back AB Dab for weekends for now,so hopefully find sumwere nice soon..Thanx JillMV for info,do you know any areas that we should look at to rent thats not to far away from Hubbies work,I think he is looking at some in westbay today....But we dont know Doha so its pot luck..

Hi Claire Im also hoping to move to Doha in next couple months but im only moving from Abu Dhabi..When we first moved here 6yr ago my hubbie came out 1st to find Accomodation for us,so maybe you might think of sending hubbie 1st,then you could join him ( just a thought)..Im looking at property websites to see what accomodation is like & what we can afford & my hubbie is going to visit to see what job is all about..You will get lots of useful Info on this site so any Questions you have just ask..Im sure you will enjoy life in Doha when you arrive..Good Luck & might bump into you at some point....

Thanx all for the feedback..My Hubbie will be working on the Musheireb Construction Project which is in Central Doha..He is hoping to travel to Qatar tomorrow for a few days to visit site & have a look around so will know more details soon..Once again thanx for help & hopefully soon we will be making plans to move ASAP..Looking on a few property websites to see what property is like so any feedback is very grateful..
