There are some listed on the following link http://www.timeoutdubai.com/gallery/41718-best-beach-clubs-in-dubai I really like Jebel Ali becasue its a large resort and doesn't feel too crowded even when its busy. Although I do recall someone saying some of the beach or pool areas are closed off now to day guests? I haven't been myself but I have heard great reviews of The Anantara on The Palm.

a lovely child friendly one is latitude at the Jumeira Beach hotel. They have a lovely childrens section with a magician and seperate menu for the children. Similarly Beachcoombers is also a nice one where they have a lovely childrens section. the Mina salaam brunch is good, however you will be seated in the wharf which is more a pub style as that is where the childrens section is .. The Wharf has closed down, it is now a Mexican restaurant. It is still part of the brunch but I think they have moved the kids area but not sure where to. oh has it ! last time I went was in 2012 just before chrimbo .. We went just before Christmas last year and it was closed for renovations, not sure when it re-opened but we went to brunch a few weeks ago and sat outside the new Mexican (forgot the name now!) The outdoor decking is very much the same and they are serving all of the p0rk items in this restaurant just as before. There was very little mexican food at brunch though which was disappointing.

HI there I am looking for a child friendly brunch for Good Friday - does anyone have any recommendations? Ideally somewhere that will have some fun Easter activities for young children. TIA I think there is an Easter brunch at Arabian Ranches golf club with childrens activities. Time Out will also probably list the Easter brunches from next week.

You will probably find stickers on the gas cabinet outside the villa when you move in, just give them a call and they usually come the same day. Like the other posters say a deposit is required for the bottle then you just ring when you need a new bottle and pay the refil charge. I have had multiple companies leaving stockers so I just ring the one that is there at the time when I need a new bottle. We have two big gas bottles, the spare is a back up if we run out during cooking or on a Friday etc. when it runs out we swap over and call for the empty to be replaced. I also got a smaller one for the BBQ but don't keep a spare for this. I use the cooker everyday but our oven is electric but definitely use the gas hobs everyday and our bottles last a very long time(over a year) <em>edited by Yorky on 31/03/2014</em>

As TDB says the 2 beds only come with 1 parking space which can be a pain when you have 2 cars. However it is a lovely place to live and we stayed there for 4 years and managed with 1 parking space. We never considered moving elsewhere due to the parking. Our rule was whoever got home first would take any free parking space they could get outside, leaving the basement space free for the other one. There are certain times when its harder to get a space such as prayer time. Sometimes you can rent an extra parking space from someone in the same building. I have no idea if this is legal or how much it costs but I do remember it happening.

York is a lovely city :) I haven't been for a few years but our home is just over an hours drive away so we have spent many weekends there when we lived in the UK. I really like North Yorkshire, some wonderful villages and countryside. I guess if you are working in the city centre you need to look at how long it will take to commute from the neighbouring towns and villages. I have no idea about schools but I know people who have been to York university and they really rate it.

It is totally inconsiderate. Most salons have signs up saying no mobile phones but people just ignore it. The salon I use now is usually okay, only ever noticed a couple of people using their phones and the staff would tell them if it was longer than 5 minutes or if it was disturbing the quiet atmosphere.

I got ours done by Churchill and they made a great job. They come to your place and clean them. I also had them clean some of the curtains at the same time as they have a minimum call out fee. http://churchill-gulf.com/carpets.asp How much did you pay? I only have one rug ( 135cm X 200cm) so I'm wondering if it's worth it to have a company coming around to clean it. I cannot remember how much it cost but they were very helpful when I called them. I liked the fact that they cleaned our large rug while it was laid flat because we sent one out previously but it came back with a kink in the middle where they had hung it to dry.

The Springs and Lakes are probably some of the closest villas to Internet City but you may struggle to get something within budget in The Lakes. The Meadows is definitely out of your budget as they are bigger stand alone villas. Some of the newer developments (as mentioned below some areas are very much still under construction) would be in your budget, JVC, Jumeirah Park and Al Furjan. Depending on traffic you could commute from Arabian Ranches within 20 to 30 minutes. Will you get chance to come over before the move to have a look? If you can I would take a look at some of the areas to get a feel before making a decision.

We have spent 10 days in the Maldives a couple of times and they were some of the best holidays we have ever had :) If you are looking for a relaxing holiday this is perfect but if you need to be more active you could get bored. We have also been to Phuket but it didn't come close to the Maldives. I am sure many will disagree as we are in the minority for not liking Phuket! One thing I would consider is the weather, we did the Maldibes in April (high season) and August (low season) and we had a few rain showers both times but nothing that lasted too long but I think June is the rainiy season?

If you haven't done so already buy the Entertainer book :) It really depends what they like to do but the weather is still nice for days at the beach, either the free becahes or buy day passes at one of the hotels. You could also visit one of the waterparks. Our visitors have really enjoyed the Big Bus tour and this is something they could do one day if you are working. A visit to Dubai Mall to see the aquarium, go to the top of the Burj Khalifa, watch the fountains or some shopping. Time Out is also a good place to check what's happening and places to visit.

Wow didn't realise all these changes were happening, just thought Accalia was on holiday! So Accalia is moving the morning show, after the breakfast and Daisy is with Kenny? Will Emma be getting her own show, she is great when hosting her own show :) I think Accalia will be on from 1pm starting next week and Daisy is joining Kenny for the breakfast show.

I have listened to Radio 2 for years and although presenters come and go and shows change I still think it's one of the best radio stations out here. I liked the breakfast show with Kenny and Accalia but prior to that Accalia had her own show which was great. This week she has only filled in for other presenters so I am looking forward to listening to her new show which starts next week. Kenny has got Emma and Bella helping on the breakfast show at the moment but they will be replaced by Daisy when the new breakfast show starts next week. Daisy hosted the breakfast show a few years ago so sure she will work well with Kenny.

Ok great I will have a look, haven't seen any aerosol types, where have you seen them? They are available in most places usually stocked with all the other cooking oils. I have definitely seen them in Spinneys Motor City, Lulus Al Barsha, Geant at Arabian Ranches and Choithrams in the Greens. They do a few different ones but as I said not sure on the calories.

Not new as such, but has anyone been to Mina Salam now Turtogo (sp?) is part of it, if so any good? We went on Friday and sat on the outdoor terrace (same layout as when it was The Wharf). Lovely setting and excellent service just as before but I wasn't too impressed with the selection of Mexican food. They are serving all of the pork dishes in this restaurant just as they did previously but they only had a small selection of Mexican dishes which was disappointing. I've heard excellent reports about the food so it's a shame they don't show off some of these dishes at brunch. I looked at the main menu and it looks really nice so we might go back one evening to give it a try. Saying that I love Zheng He's but don't think the food at brunch does it justice, but maybe that's because the food is cold by the time you have walked all the way back to your table!

I cannot comment on the kids club but Jebel Ali Hotel/Palm Tree Court is very family friendly. If she doesn't mind travelling further The Hilton Resort and Spa in RAK is also a good option.

Definitely take USD to get a better exchange rate. Usually the small exchange places offer better rates than the hotels.

Are you referring to the Rotana in Fujairah, not Dubai? We stayed but it was a while ago. The hotel is nice and so is the pool and beach but on the weekend it got very busy and they played music quite loud around the pool area which many people complained about so hopefully it's not like that now. I think they had two or three restaurants and vouchers are normally in the Entertainer so might not be worth going half board if you have the book? Le Meridien hotel is within walking distance if you want a change but not much else close by. Personally I prefer the Hilton Resort and Spa in RAK, even when it is busy the resort is big enough so you don't feel like it is crowded plus they have a good selection of restaurants and bars.

I am keen to try out the 971 Brunch at Oberoi Hotel in Business Bay, it is a Tapas Style, and sounds amazing! Also during the winter/spring, if you love good meaty food, Gaucho's brunch is to die for! Sit outside on balcony, with a big group, just lovely! Flow at Fairmont Palm is also on the to do list. We wanted to try the 971 brunch and finally got around to going last month and we were really disappointed! The staff were excellent and really could not fault the service all afternoon but the food just didn't do it for us. We love tapas and the idea of this kind of brunch was appealing but many of the dishes were not clearly labelled so you didn’t know what it was. Also many of the hot dishes were cold and nothing stood out as great. It was okay but not somewhere I would rush back to. We used vouchers but at full price there are far better brunches.

I want to check how much rent increase we can be given but the online rent calculator says it is under review. I hope it's not another increase! Does anyone know if the website has been like this for sometime as I would like to check before the end of this week. Are there any other ways of checking other than emailing RERA? Thanks

I cannot comment on Bali but I have been to the Maldives and Mauritius and both are wonderful places. Emirates and Air Mauritius fly direct to Mauritius a couple of times per day. Emirates and Fly Dubai fly direct to the Maldives, there may be others too. You will need to arrange a boat or sea plane transfer for the Maldives which if you time correctly can be done without huge waiting times at the airport. Whichever you decide I would suggest booking soon as April is peak time and prices will be higher due to school holidays / Easter.

thanks ladies. have just found out that Anantara's spa also isn't ope n yet however they are offering in-room treatments instead. now i really cant decide what to do for the best :( Did they say when the Spa would open? Do you know if all the restaurants are now open? I would like to book a long weekend but want to make sure everything is open first.

We like the new D&A look and the prices are good if you go during happy hour and use the entertainer vouchers. A bit steep otherwise. When is the happy hours please, what's the deal? Thank you for your replies. It does not have to be licenced we are in Tecom area but will travel around. The Montgomerie has a nice bar and restaurant overlooking the driving range. I haven't been for a while but they usually have some classic English dishes on the menu. I also like Maison Mathis at Arabian Ranches golf club and they have just changed the menu so lots of new dishes. For a casual breakfast or lunch the Sports Cafe at Jebel Ali Hotel is nice, especially if the weather is nice to sit overlooking the Marina. If you have the blue entertainer book there are vouchers for the Dhow and Anchor or Latitude which have a British theme buffet one evening per week. For more upmarket dining there is Rhodes Twenty 10 at Le Meridien

We went a few weeks ago and I thought it looked much nicer after the refurbishment. It felt bigger inside and more light and airy. The outside terrace looks to have been extended a little, unless they just added more tables? We only had drinks but we did take a look at the menu and agree prices have increaased. I would go back and try the food using the Entertainer vouchers but agree otherwise quite overpriced. Lovely outside terrace though and house wine was very reasonably priced. Actually just remembered some friends went for drinks only and it was very expensive. I think we were lucky that the wine we had was on offer. <em>edited by Yorky on 11/03/2014</em>

I had a printing error in my book which the Entertainer resolved quickly. It usually takes 1 or 2 days for the customer support team to contact you but once they do they try and fix the problem immediately.
