Try Debenhams. I bought one for my husband a couple of years ago. It has 9 little compartments for the cufflinks...you can get 2 pairs in each compartment if needed. I am going to CC tomorrow, so can pop in & check and report back if you would like.
I would definitely go for The Pearl as you will have an outside pool and play area that I'm sure you will use week in and week out...even in the hot months. You will likely have a balcony (I know not ideal for little kids), but when they are tucked away in bed, maybe you and your husband can enjoy a nice beverage on the terrace. You can also have a BBQ (we really missed this in our first 2 years here). There's also Spinneys on the Pearl that you will be able to pleasantly walk to to get essentials if you don't feel like going out in the car. Also, carrefour at Lagoona is 5 minutes drive and parking is not an issue and you will be able to most groceries there. And if you are feeling energetic, you could always go for a run on The Pearl! The Pearl has a more of a residential feel to it, than living in the towers in West Bay.
Al Fardan would be my second choice as it is a bit closer to the Corniche where you could go for a walk, but like the Kempinski you would have to leave your apartment building just to get some air (windows do not open). Having said that both Al Fardan and Kempinski are nice, but with kids, I think The Pearl is a better option.

I have used ATLAS in City Centre numerous times for alterations and they have always done a good job. My husband has also had shirts and suits made - he likes the suits as they are a copy of existing suits, but the shirts not so much - something about the collars.
