Each person has an individual bar code on his Blood sample vial which is never repeated again, so no chance for any other person getting the same code and it is on this basis the machine recognizes a sample.and when a result comes positive the sample can be easily picked out on the basis of this code and the person is identified. This also eliminates the reason to retest all the people in the batch. The machines performing tests are big and efficient and can perform tests in LARGE batches which saves time.

There is a small stand just outside C4 at MOE that sells unsalted pecans. Also opposite the C4 at MCC (opposite the dairy end, not the electronic end) there is a shop selling unsalted pecans and nice chocolates. As already stated they do freeze well so get plenty when you find them. Thank u CM... will check MCC. All the EW have always been helpful.

Thank you sooooo much Catawba KSE for your prompt reply. was looking at recipes using them like Carrot cake, Pecan Pie and Turtle cake. Had used walnuts earlier for the carrot cake but wanted to use pecans instead. If u dont mind, May I ask, what other recipes/dishes do you use Pecans in, other than these? Thank you once again.

My Instructor told me to check the mirror every 5 secs or so!!! even though i had adjusted the mirror to my eye level and i could just move my eyeballs to c it. But she told me to even put my head up to SHOW the examiner that u r cheking the mirror. Like GM, my eaxminer also told me to be careful of TRICK instructions that the examiner might tell me to do which is not allowed at a particular road, street ot junction. So be bold enuf to tell the examiner that its not allowed. HTH and all the best.:)

please lets not get too far off topic, else this thread might be zapped. ;) The comments on the GN article are over 300 now (and all but a few want stricter dress code to be implemented). I think this year during Ramadan we may see some changes in the Malls, perhaps people being stopped and told to leave the mall, does anyone else think so. edited by Alismum on 15/05/2012 I don't think it will work with the current security force in malls now. Maybe locals can approach people dressed inappropriately and explain what is accepted and what isn't. Then ask them to cover up or leave the mall. There must be people there who have good communication skills that will be respected. I am sorry to say but the average guy from India will be ignored, as sad as it is:( True, Marroosh. MashaAllah, You have a very good style of conveying things. Do you give classes also in any Islamic Centers. You should, really... keeping in mind your knowledge and basic concepts are very clear.

Its high time this campaign starts in full force. Applause for the girls who started this twitter trending. Have seen some horrible (un)dressing the past few weeks and was too thinking how come the concerned authority are not doing anything. Was myself planning to contact the concerned department so am glad that this matter has been raised up. Its not about what is acceptable in one country and not acceptable in another. If whipping people is allowed in a country, it dosnt mean that its OK to whip people. There are many ladies here who are not muslims and belong to non-muslim countries but they really dress-up which shows that they are respecting their body as well as others around.

Another question kind EW. How does fondant Taste?? and do the bakers use gloves while making it also while kneading moulding etc. keeping in mind some people dont it, and just eat the cake below, the huge price of the cake is only due to the fondant decor which is gone once the cake is cut?? And back to the original question posted by the OP which some of us might have not seen: what do you prefer FONDANT or BUTTERCREAM? TIA

Many people use fondant because it is easier and less time consuming than to cover the cake with a beautiful smooth coat of buttercream icing. Getting that buttercream perfectly smooth and divot free takes a lot of time and is a real skill. You can make your own fondant but many stores and companies buy fondant which are cheap and taste bad. I have a catering business here in Paris (I am moving to Dubai in August) and import fondant because I want to make a quality product but I use it mostly for decorations, not to cover the cake. I make more fondant covered cakes for adult parties since they are more adept at removing the layer of fondant if they don't like it. If you are ever buying a cake it is important to ask where the fondant comes from. Wilton fondant is terrible but there are brands like Satin Ice which are delicious. Cakes with higher quality fondant or that use good quality fondant in their decorations will be priced accordingly. Many children do not like fondant as it can be chewy so it is better to make sure your cake, if you order one, is just covered with buttercream. Let's hear it for delicious cake!! Boy are you going to luuuuurve Dubai.... Paris: "Hmmm, should I buy the A Brand, B brand, C Brand, D Brand or maybe I should try one of these four new ones they have here that I havent used before...Hmmm..." Dubai: "Feck! Thats Lulu, Carrefour, Geant and Spinneys Ive tried and none of them have fondant. Not rolled, not packet, nada. And that stuff Tavola sells that is so sticky you can put pictures up with it, I wonder if they have any left... Maybe nobody would mind if I used marzipan... Hmmm... Oh no, wait, cant do that either cause they only have yellow marzipan.... I guess it will have to be buttercream. No wait, there is only the imported [3 times the price of the SIS one'> icing sugar available. And what would you know, theyve only got 4 boxes left. Best I get them all whilst theyre here!" I think youre also going to have a fun time getting used to working with fondant etc in 100% humidity etc. Take cake from house to car in mid summer - approximately 20 steps... "So you see this here red puddle? Well, it used to be a rose." :D I make cakes with both buttercream and fondant, and just wanted to say that whilst covering cakes is one thing, for those of us that work on 3D cakes, it isnt an option. So, if youre looking for 2D or "decorated cakes", buttercream is fine, but the sculpted cakes is pretty much fondant... Having said that, I always use a layer of buttercream between the fondant and the cake, so you really can have your cake and eat it!!! Dont want fondant? Pull it off and only eat the buttercream then! PS for the record, Im one of the non-fondant-eaters! But I do also recognise that each to their own and when I get a request for a fondant cake, I dont try to change peoples minds... :) So nice to have u back Wikkid. And u r absolutely right with watever u said. Aahhh... a cold sigh for the baking supplies in dubai :(

@Marroosh, I'm sorry but your comment makes you sound like you have a superiority complex - no need for it really. Marroosh is just writing what she believes in, but, there's just that much one can do. The Muslim girl is an adult now, however, with your information below (and probably more that Snugs has read about from her old post) Snugs can only pass the message and the girl has to take responsibility of her decisions from thereon. Exactly, in the end she is an adult and will be held accountable for her actions. If it makes her happy, and she feels there is nothing wrong with it, let her do it. Exactly Marroosh ur right. Not that we all r perfect but If someone is not following the Laws set out for all of us by THE CREATOR whos made us all dosnt mean that none of us will be asked on THE DAY. Not religious dosnt mean not being held accountable. This is the beauty of Islam the more the propaganda is going around against it , the more people r reverting. I know of cases where people have actually reverted by studying Islam logically and not just for the sake of marriage. All the best for the couple.:)

I've definitely bought Twisties from both Milk and Honey on the Palm and fromDubai Garden Centre. The nearest I've found to Cheezels are Big Rings but they aren't 'yellow' enough to suffice :( Now, onto a much more important item- [b'>BURGER RINGS![/b'> Has anyone seen any in their travels? If I had seen them, I'd like to tell you the following: 1. I would have bought them ALL to gobble up all by myself; and 2. I wouldn't not tell anyone where they were in case those people decided to go there (and STEAL them!) :D A few years ago Spinneys was stocked up with Australian stuff, they had Furry Friends, Crunchie Squiggle Top Biscuits, all flavours of Cadbury's chocolate (peppermint etc.), but once the recession came the Aussie collection became less, then has eventually gone down to practically nothing (in the lollie aisle, anyway). They used to have Musk Sticks, Whizz Fizz - it was great. All I'm waiting for is the day Golden Circle says 'yes, Dubai is EXACTLY where we want to stock our cordials' :) Nice idea AmyAus82 ;)

My blog is a baking blog - Wordpress called Let Them Eat Cake. I don't think I've uploaded any cupcake recipes, in fact I haven't updated it in a while *embarrassed* but I'm currently attending the City and Guilds Baking and Patisserie course (6 months) at the Culinary Institute, and have done the Wilton cake decorating class so my advice would be to not buy the cheap ones - Ikea, Daiso etc. and instead choose the more expensive liners from Lakeland or Wilton (TAvola). They will be thicker and better quality. As for oven settings - you want a moist cupcake, a lot of recipes use oil not butter as it makes them softer, peanut butter is full of oil which is why I bet they tasted amazing but left the liners greasy. I will try to post a cupcake recipe soon - try Red Velvet Magnolia recipe cupcakes, they are yummy, moist and tasty, happy baking! WOW u blog too!!! wats the website plz. i tried to goole but cudnt get it. I think i better go n buy from these brands. Il let u know the results too.

they shouldn't be too oily, maybe try to adjust the recipe/oven settings. usually, they get a brown line on them from overdrying, but if you put your cupcake tray on a cookie sheet, it'll help evenly distribute the heat. it's a fine line between oily and too dry...gah! does this happen with every flavor or just one in particular? i can send you some recipes. edited by na115 on 26/03/2012 edited by na115 on 26/03/2012 Thanx na115. iv made vanilla, chocolate and PB cupcakes yet. so its been with all the three :-( Infact recently i made PB cupcakes and the liners completely detached themselves from the cupies and they were VERY oily too. I would love <3 and really appreciate it if u would share ur recipes with us. Also plz suggest the brands i should buy from . I used Falcon and IKEA. I know I know i should buy the BRANDS.
