Can you not use the option on the Jobs vacant page, going via the EW site? Looks as if curvesme.com doesn't like your email address :(

Butterfly, sending you lots of courage to carry on. I hope some advice you have found on here will be of use/help to you. Please keep us posted on your progress. If you can't tell your real-life friends and you need to let it out, perhaps here is not the best place for you to do it, because we're a hugely judgemental group, though mostly well-meaning. If possible, could you take yourself to a counsellor just to talk?

I'm trying to remember a site which I think was mentioned on here quite recently in relation to wedding favours - it looked as if they made wonderful chocolates. Racking my brains, will post if I find the site again.

I may be making false assumptions, but this sounds like an arranged marriage and the OP quite young. Not easy at all to walk away. Possibly not easy to insist her DH (you know what that abbreviation stands for in this case) "submit" to counselling.

There are lots of articles to be found about the effect of food additives on ADHD children - in fact, according to the Mayo clinic, it seems to be certain food colourings and preservatives which may be triggers: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/adhd/AN01721

Runnmies, I think you are taking offence where there is none to be taken. I have seen no criticisms or accusations levelled at the OP here, just people trying to answer the question, albeit in many different ways :) I really do have to disagree :) - one of the contributors really isnt helping the situation. Oh, ah, um, yes, see what you mean. Majority positive and helpful posts here, though. edited by simpleasabc on 22/10/2012

I know nothing about this, but just wonder why you don't tell her that you will release her from her contract with you early, after her prospective new employer has paid you your costs for her latest visa, pro-rated? Is there not such a thing as transferring sponsorship? I think you may be told very shortly that what you've suggested is people trafficking. My advice to you is that you don a hard hat or hide under a table now :D Is that because of the Romania aspect? (I understood the prospective employer is a Romanian in Dubai, and thought I'd heard of transfer of sponsorship happening legitimately here, is all :D)

I can't offer advice on informing the school your son attends at the moment, but suggest you might consider WIS, if it comes within your parameters for your son's schooling. There would definitely be no problem with informing them of your son's ADHD and that he is under medication, from what I have seen there, they will always encourage and help. http://www.gemseducation.com/MENASA/wellinternational0027/contents.php?pageid=1777&parentid=24&parentid=25 Apologies if this sounds like an ad, I am just a parent who happens to have recently attended a meeting about the Achievement Centre and am very impressed with their inclusive approach. Good luck. I know this is an obvious question, but have you investigated the effect of foods and drinks on your son's behaviour? I think certain "E" numbers and orange colouring in some drinks are known triggers of ADHD?

Accepting the fact that I am singularly unobservant and have the brain the size of a gnat's, is this a new thing whereby taxis and school buses have huge ads/pictures across their entire rear windows? I've noticed several over the past few days and am sure I've not seen them before, but obviously anticipate I'm probably wrong. edited by simpleasabc on 21/10/2012

Depending on nationality, having access to their home TV stations via satellite seems to be a big draw. Allowing them to stamp on your minced meat with floured feet, in the case of Filipinas, would also apparently be a bonus ;) edited by simpleasabc on 21/10/2012

Sorry, maybe my post was a bit misleading. I DO definitely want to have kids but I don't know whether I should have them here or go back to the UK to have them where I will have the support of my family. Does the support of your family and being with friends at home outweigh the benefits you are gaining by being here and what you could offer your child/ren if you were here as opposed to at home, in your and your husband's estimation?

Can't you take the stroller on board? Sorry, it's so long since I travelled with a babe in arms that I've forgotten what we did (though I think she was so small she was able to stay in her travel-seat for a very long time). Couldn't you ask the airline you're travelling with?

I think there is 24 hour shopping in malls in Dubai for Eid al Adha, but for some reason starting this week-end, and just for the week-end, but I could be completely wrong, sorry! I know the 24 hour shopping is not permanent. In the normal course of things, Debenhams in the MoE opens at 10 am, I belive.

Not being tech-savvy, I had no means of logging on last night to see if anyone else was suffering from the same problem. Hilsbils, the main router resetting occurred to me, but the strange thing was the internet radios were working quite happily. Didn't even think of trying the TV, that's how much we watch it :)

Under the current Department of Health Regulations, [b'>anyone spending more than three months outside the UK [/b'>is no longer automatically entitled to free NHS treatment," confirms Katrina Osman, broker with IHC International. "And, therefore, NHS charges may apply for any hospital treatment received. Those in receipt of UK state pensions, and who have previously lived in the UK for a continuous period of 10 years, remain entitled to some cover, although this is dependent on their current country of residence and length of time there." http://www.expatmoneychannel.com/node/286 Many expats feel aggrieved at being charged for something they feel they have, as British citizens, an entitlement to, and throughout their working lives whilst in the country have paid up for through their National Insurance contributions. Whatever the rights or wrongs of these changes, it is now a fact that if you have become permanently non-resident in the UK, you have lost your entitlement to free treatment under the NHS. edited by DollyDuck on 19/10/2012 Please read what I posted earlier, what you are saying is a misinterpretation. It depends on your definition of an ex-pat.

My friend who works as a nurse in the NHS says that most doctors and hospitals turn a blind eye as the paperwork can be a hassle when they are busy. They just classify the person as a walk-in emergency or new patient. I'm sure. And to be honest, in my recent experience of NHS hospital emergency treatment for my geriatric demented mother, it's nothing worth having. I'm happier with her staying at home and being treated there by the GP who knows her - in fact, I would prefer an ambulance wasn't called to take her to the emergency dept of a local hospital, as it is usually an unmitigated disaster, with no cohesive treatment and no reference to her GP or community nurses, who are the ones who know her best.

Yes I knew. Otherwise all the people that come to the UK and get citizenship could just pop over whenever they want treatment. Only residents get treatment which makes perfect sense, regardless of if you are UK born or naturalised you can't just hop over whenever you want treatment. My mums local hospital has a sign to this effect at the door, so it's really not a hidden secret. If you are an ex-pat in Europe, including Switzerland, the above does not apply.

If you can get hold of the FB message history, the police will definitely act on it. Did your daughter's friend delete the messages out of shame and fear, I wonder? You don't think that everything that comes through etisilat and Du servers is logged - no need to get evidence for the police; they have the means of getting everything and anything that you have ever typed on line or sent via SMS, BB, Whatsapp....... I don't begin to understand how that works.
