As one of the most photographed women on the planet, the Duchess of Cambridge’s wardrobe is a source of inspiration for many – particularly as the stylish royal rarely puts a fashion foot wrong.

She’s got her staple pieces she knows works for her, but this year Kate really stepped out of her comfort zone and experimented with some different looks. Newsflash: she even started to regularly wear trousers.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have just completed their latest royal trip together, travelling to Pakistan where they discussed climate change and met with various political and cultural leaders.

Wherever she goes in the world, the Duchess of Cambridge is praised for her personal style – whether she’s wearing a glitzy designer gown for a red carpet event, or a sporty ensemble for a daytime activity.

On the royal tour of Pakistan, which started on Monday, Kate has already impressed locals by embracing traditional dress and wearing items by Pakistani designers, with many drawing comparisons with Diana, Princess of Wales’ own visits to the country.

The five-day trip started with Kate and the Duke of Cambridge touching down near Islamabad.

Floral patterns might not be the most groundbreaking of fashion choices, but you know what they say: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

That must have been what the Duchess of Cambridge was thinking when she chose to wear this floaty dress with a leafy, flowery pattern.
