The Noughties were over a decade ago, but many of the fashion crimes committed are still fresh in our minds.

One of the worst trends to come out of the era were low-rise jeans – trousers slung so low around your waist you were in danger of showing off a bit too much… Despite its perils, we were all wearing them. Since then, they’ve fallen out of fashion, with denim styles now erring towards extremely high waists.

In the middle of awards season, the Grammy Awards is a chance for musicians to hit up the red carpet and wear their biggest and boldest outfits.

This year’s red carpet was a more subdued affair than we normally expect from the Grammys, as the night was overshadowed by the news of retired basketball player Kobe Bryant’s death in a helicopter crash. The evening was full of tributes to Bryant, and some joy was brought to the red carpet with the proliferation of the colour pink.

Just when we thought that Halloween had peaked too soon with a flurry of famous faces unveiling their costumes last weekend, it turned out the stars were saving the best until last.
