At just 18, Saudi Arabian model Taleedah Tamer made her haute couture debut in Paris for Antonio Grimaldi's Couture Fall 18 show. Born in Jeddah to a Saudi father and Italian mother, the Saudi model is breaking barriers by becoming Saudi’s first couture model in a fashion industry that rarely showcases Middle Eastern beauty.

More fashion designers are being influenced by modest fashion as the headscarf and hijab have appeared in new autumn/winter 2018 collections during fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris over the past month. As Milan Fashion Week AW18 closed with the fourth and final Gigi x Tommy collection, the Formula 1 inspired Tommy Hilfiger designs were showcased on racetrack runway which was walked by all three Hadid siblings. As Gigi, Bella and Anwar walked alongside model friends Hailey Baldwin and Winnie Harlow, the Hadid sisters especially revealed their fashion month success in New York, Milan and potentially Paris!

We’ve had outrageous looks, ridiculous fashion trends and shoes that surely nobody can walk in, however Milan Fashion Week AW18 just gave us Gucci models carrying their own severed heads, baby dragons and walking in a surgical room for a catwalk, as things in the fashion world will never be the same again…

Saudi Arabia continues its new chapter with the announcement that the Kingdom will host its first Arab Fashion Week in Riyadh next month. On behalf of the Dubai-based Arab Fashion Council, HH Princess Noura bint Faisal Al Saud announced the news in London on Monday, as Saudi Arabia’s first fashion week will take place from March 26th to March 31st at Riyadh's eco-friendly Apex Centre, designed by the late Zaha Hadid.

London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2018 came to a close yesterday with an unexpected front row guest at Richard Quinn’s runway show, Queen Elizabeth! Off the runway London has produced the perfect colour code for spring with street style looks in sorbet shades of pastel pinks, lemons and raspberry reds.

Queen Elizabeth made a surprise appearance at London Fashion Week autumn/winter 2018, as the Queen attended her first LFW to present designer Richard Quinn with the inaugural Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design. The Queen was spotted laughing with the queen of fashion Anna Wintour, on the front row of LFW, as wonder what she thought of the runway collection?!

London Modest Fashion Week returns for its second year after success in 2017 at the Saatchi Gallery, as this year London’s Victoria House is hosting modest fashion designers and hijab-wearing fashionistas over 17th and 18th February.
