Hi Disa - there is no nursery but there are lots close. Calgary, Apple Tree, Busy Bees are just a few - have a look and go see them to see what you think. You do sometimes wait for maintenance but I think the for the price here the villas are good value. I have friends who pay much more with similar maintenance issues. It doesnt make it right but its just the way it is here. You can befriend the maintenance guys and get things done quickly and also make the manager your new buddy and things do get done even if a little slower than you would like! Good luck with moving I am sure we will meet in the park one evening!

Just to add, I would avoid villa 145 if you can, I know there is a plumbing issue, but 143 and 147 are also both empty and as far as I know no issues. No nursery in the compound, my little boy is 16 months so let me know when you move in and we can have a playdate :)

I live in Beverly Hills 4 - who are owned and managed by the same company - and would not recommend any of their properties to anyone!! The maintenance is appalling - we often have to wait more than 2 weeks for light bulbs to be replaced - have had water pouring through the ceiling and it takes days for anyone to come!! I am still waiting for new furniture promised over a year ago!! We only renewed our contract as we were promised faithfully that our existing very poor quality furniture would be replaced - but to date have not received this and the company will not respond to emails, calls and the manager says he can do nothing!! Just beware they will promised you the earth to get your money!!! I will not be renewing my contract and would advise anyone to steer clear of any Al Asmahk property!

thank you very much vallan, i visited the compound and loved it.. i saw more luxurious places but honestly for this money i was so impressed!! the plan is to move in once my husband gets his residency permit, hopefully shortly!! i forgot to ask them if there is any nursery in the compound but i assume the answer is no, because nobody has mentioned it. but do you guys know if there is any good nursery near the compound, my little girl is still 18 months but thinking of looking for a nursery for her or at least put her name on waiting list if needed. many thanks x

Hi - just to add to this - we also live at BHG10 and there is a new manager who is very good. He always calls back when we call with any issues or questions and everything we have asked for lately has been sorted (new white goods, aircon on its way). We were also told that the whole pool area is being refurbished starting next week including new tiling, shade over the kids pool and a new gym. Obviously can't guarantee that until it actually happens but the manager told us this in person. I definitely agree that the things that make the compound great are the parks, pool, shop and lots of families. We also are all having fibre optic internet installed - not live yet but must mean its coming so another good reason to take a villa here!

I live there now and we recently renewed for another year. In short; The villas are on the old side, bathrooms not too flash but in the plus side, being older means less unexpected maintenance issues like you can find in new compounds. Villas are 3 bedrooms upstairs (2 bathroom) and large maids room/spare room with ensuite downstairs plus a separate toilet/laundry. They have just replaced all the AC's and white-ware in the empty villas and your villa will also have been freshly repainted. The backyards vary in size, if possible go for one on the outer perimeter as the backyards are almost twice as big and you are not overlooked by your neighbours. There are two playgrounds, if you have young kids then they are fantastic, one of the main reasons we stayed. There is also a small grocer with a good range of products and a drycleaner within the compound which I find very handy. The swimming pool is a good size but it is unshaded which is annoying in summer and they are very slack with turning on the heating in winter which means tbh it is unusable between October and April. I've lived here since 2009 and they've been promising to deal with it since then. There are also indoor squash courts and a reasonable gym. Maintenance is good, the boys live on site and are pretty prompt. Pest control come monthly indoor and out if you want. Villas are going for 12,000 per month, you'd probably get a nicer newer villa nearby for less or the same but the facilities (playground, maintenance and shop) are what makes it worth the money. There are quite a few empty villas right now as lots of people left when they raised the rent. The villa on either side of mine and the one behind me are all empty right now so I'd ask to look through a few and compare amount of sunlight, parking space in front, size of backyards etc. PS its not actually on al waab st, but its close.
