yes, dubai was hectic. at one stage DH and i didnt even have the same weekends! his company was a Thurs Fri weekend and mine was Fri Sat, but both of us had to work a halfday on the weekend, so we just didnt see eachother for about a year. was horrible. still, we are older and wiser now lol, so hopefully we will avoid that type of craziness.

Fri/Sat weekend but some companies work longer hours Sun-Wed and knock off at 4pm on a Thursday. We did one day weekends for several years while construction in Dubai was booming, totally agree, it sucks. <em>edited by CSM on 17/04/2011</em>

A handful of places have thursday afternoon off and friday off (I'm thinking particularly of some clinics/ doctors offices). But a lot of people have friday & saturday off.
