Well, it appears I was in another wrong SEC office to begin with, but eventually made it over to the Private Schools Office. As you suggested Rachel, they don't do this but they did direct me to ANOTHER office/building which was (finally) the correct place. Paid my QR6 for a stamp, got another stamp and signature and was off to the MoFA for the actual stamps and signatures I needed! The women you suggested could help were fantastic and a very nice, friendly bunch as well. Thanks again!
Well I know there was going to be some re-shuffling of office space so I'm not sure to be honest. I don't think its the Private Schools Office that actually does the attestation - there is, as far as I know, a separate dedicated department for that. But I was just thinkign that if you were being given the runaround (sadly a very likely occurrance) and you made your way to the PSO, they would at least be able to point you in the right direction. iI'm going back to edit the names out of my earlier post.
Again, good luck!
Not sure where I'm going exactly. When I was there today they said I should go to the second floor. So, will either try there or with whom you've suggested. Thanks Rachael! Was hoping you would have some advice to offer.
7:30 - 2 are the official hours. But to be on the safe side, best to assume 8:00-12:00.
Good luck!

Went to Min of Foreign Affairs this morning as we need to have son's school transcripts attested for his work visa application in a European country (he attended a British School here in Doha). Ministry says we first need them stamped by Supreme Education Council, so proceeded there. However, signs posed all over the SEC building said they will only work on documents/meet with public on Sun, Tue and Thursdays. Heading there in the morning again, so wondering what time they might be open? Does anyone know, as I can't seem to find info on any websites.
