Hi,
I'd be grateful if someone could give directions to Al Najma Souk (where there are lots of second hand furniture shops)

Many thanks in advance

I read in the paper a number of weeks ago that the small buisnesses in the Najma Souk had all had notices to quit served on them, presumabaly another gleaming high-rise is waiting to go up in their place. So check before you make the trip that they are still open. I found the slightly larger shops in the streets around the markety bit rather more useful but as BEDH says there really isn't a lot there. One shop did offer to make things for me when I couldn't find what I was looking for but you are probably best asking the forum for advice on that one. Good luck!

http://wikimapia.org/2433684/Souq-Al-Haraj-Najma just don't expect a miraculous cure to Doha's dreadful furniture crisis . It's just a place where the tatty or bad furniture that can't be sold in the classfieds ends up . Some of it ( by the smell of it ) is rescued by rubbish collectors and brought along . Perhaps if you are into shabby chic........
