Hi Ladies
Do any of you have kids enrolled this year at Creative Child Nursery?
I'm not sure about any of you but I'm feeling totally ripped off. The walls are bare, there are only a few 2nd hand and very tatty looking toys in each class-room which certainly won't be enough for 15+ kids to share and on top of all of that the classrooms after their summer refurbishment are way too small to accommodate 15 kids. The majority of teachers I have met so far have poor English that is spoken with thick foreign accents and multiple grammar mistakes. Being one of the more expensive 'western' nurseries I find the above very disappointing.
I understand they have an 'emerging curriculum' which means no particular activity is planned each day and the teacher just builds on each child's interests. But with so little available to do in the room I don't know how interests can be displayed... And how 3 teachers can nurture 15 different interests at the same time in that tiny little space. It almost feels like a cop out from lesson plans and time tables.
I keep hearing how Creative Child was brilliant until last year before the renovations and this new curriculum. So we went on recommendation and after visiting. We could never have imagined it will turn to this..... Jail-like White washed small rooms with a few old toys!
Perhaps I'm being too negative and others are much happier there.
I'd be really happy to hear some positive reviews from current parents, that might help me to feel that its just me and the school is not all that bad! :(
