Hello, I'm a type 1 diabetic and so require specialist foot care. I have only recently moved to Doha. Can anyone recommend a good British Chiropodist or Podiatrist please? Thanks in advance :)

Hello RJM-40, I am just wondering how you got on at the Diabetes foot clinic? Was it a podiatrist who attended to you, or a doctor? Hope you don't mind me asking, not much info about podiatry! With thanks Vicki

There is also a Chiropodist/Podiatrist surgery in the Dr Scholl shop at The Centre, where Megamart is, but it's not particularly cheap so if you are a diabetic and can get foot care free through the hospital I would go with that.

Not connected to Hamad as far as I know. There is a map, phone number and hours on the Qatar Diabetes Association website (link in my post below).

Thank you RachelA. Do I go along to Hamad Medical Centre to the diabetes clinic/dept there?

http://www.qda.org.qa/ Amazing resource for Diabetics in Qatar! All services are free, and they have a foot clinic. I would give them a call or go visit. If you need treatment different from what they have, I'm sure they can point you in the right direction! When I was diagnosed with Type 2 some years ago, they were an incredible resource for information and support!
