Hi everyone,
I’m Laura from Spain, 12 weeks pregnant. Moving to Doha in a few months and I’ve just learned that my husband is not allowed to be with me in that precious moment of giving birth. I’m so shocked. Can anyone confirm this fact to me? Will be my second baby but still feeling nervous about this.

Thank so much and nice to meet you all!

Hi Laura, Congratulations for the good news. Welcome to Doha! Regarding your query, Here if you choose to deliver in a Private hospital your husband can be with you. But if you choose Hamad or any Govt hospital your husband will not be allowed after 10 pm in the ward and he will not at all be allowed in the labour room. Apart from that if you are in the ward he can be with you anytime from 7 am to 10 pm. However, u can be accompanied by any female above 13 years of age with u all the time even in labour room. And if no female is there with you, you can be rest assured they take care very well. I recently delivered in Wakra Hospital. And u can rely on them for every possible thing. Hope this answers your question. Take care!
