Accommodation Options for Expat Woman in Doha
Hi
I will be moving to Doha in March 2021 and I looking for accommodation recommendations please. Sadly, I will be living on my own as my husband has work commitments in South Africa.
My office is near the Souq Waqif area but I am unsure if that is a good area to live in? Overall, I am looking for an area that is close to amenities like shops and a variety of restaurants. Apartment living with pool and gym facilities would be good as well as car parking space and good security.
Many of the forums recommend living in West Bay or Pearl areas but I am worried about the commute.
I will have a car but I was thinking of using the metro system. Is the metro system reliable?
Also what are some creature comforts you would recommend bringing with that are not easily found in Doha.
Any help and advice is much appreciated.
