Anyone know if Al Messilah as 2 bedroom places available and if so, how much they are going for? I know they have 3 beds for around 15,000 but our budget is a little below that...but would love to live there!

Great. Thanks kimmc3! Will head over there and check them out myself and speak to Mr. Ajith. I am just craving a little bit of greenery so a little is better than none! =)

The villas on the main compound are nearly all detached and have gardens all the way around the houses. They also have private driveways and frontage. The smaller terraced houses are definitely not as green or private as the main villas. Our bungalow is small by comparison to what you could get for the price elsewhere, but the greenery, quietness & privacy make up for it. I'm pretty sure you'd have the full use of the facilities on the main compound if you lived in the terraced houses. I've never been inside one of these so I don't know what they look like inside. Ours are really very dated. Ask for Mr Ajith Nair, who is the manager, and he will let you know if there is anything available. I believe that Hamad Hospital is snapping up the villas for their staff as they have a housing shortage (??)

ah ok, just googled mapped it and I see what you mean. Besides being small, are they nice though? and do you still get use of the facilities in the compound? I am looking for a family friendly compound, but we don't need a huge villa. I just want a green compound that is between 10,000-12,000. It looks like on the map that there is some greenery around the two rows, but is that the case or is the aerial view deceiving?

Nole, please note the small terraced villas are not actually on the main compound, but at a small area on the rhs just before the main gate. You actually have to walk out onto the road to enter through the gate to get onto Al Messilah proper.

Our rent for our 3 bed bungalow has just gone up to QR17K........ :-(( BEDH is right - these trees come at a premium and the gym facility is dire, but amazingly enough there is always a long waiting list for Al Messilah villas.

Al Messilah has a two rows of Terraced houses at the entrance which each have rear gardens .The two beds are very small like a London terrace and are 10,000 . Bigger 3 bed terrace ( with study ) are 13,000. The villas are now going for as much 16 - 20 K depending on size . You really pay for trees !!
