Hi all - I'm looking for a good toaster and wondered if Dualit ones are sold anywhere here? or does anyone have any recommendations for a good and stylish toaster...
Thanks in advance

Thanks CSH - yes, will probably hang on for a Dualit. Hope to go to the UK next yr, so will probably get one there...I thought I'd seen the brand in Dubai, but no forum ladies have replied that they have....

Hang out for a Dualit one -I love mine. Although I have to confess that I bought it in the UK a few years ago and bought it back in handluggage! I got so sick of the cheap ones you buy here going wrong all the time. Bit like the hoovers you buy but I draw the line at sticking one of those in my handluggage! I have go to Almana in a few weeks so I will look in there for you - they sell some quirky makes for small electronic kitchen bits so they could have them possibly. If not ship one in via aramex as they aren't heavy. MMMMMnnnnm yummy, marmite on toast.......

Hi - thanks for that 007. Also went to Tavola and saw the Cuisinart ones that you mention - quite liked them, but loved the Kitchen Aid cream and steel toaster in Table Arts - you are right Blini - that's a lot for a toaster - was 1,350 rials approx!!! Lakeland had a nice cream and steel one too for around 360 rials amongst others that weren't too expensive. Am not in a hurry as I already have a cheapie toaster, so will look around for the Dualit - will let you know if I find any! May have to get one from Dubai when I go over in Oct!.....I know I have seen them somewhere there...will ask the Dubai girls... edited by chizz on 31/08/2011

you might also call Darwish trading - which is on Airport rd. They tend to carry hard to find kitchen appliance brands.

Try Tavola or Table Arts in City Center. I know that Table Arts do the Kitchen Aid range (I love their stuff but baulked at the price of the toaster lol) but they can be pretty expensive. I know that Lakeland is in City Center but I haven't been there yet, so might be worth checking that out.
