Hello Ladies,

My family and I will be moving to Doha next year. I was wondering if anyone can tell me about the cable available, as my husband and children are wondering what kind of channels are available. We are from the U.S. and are curious if we will still be able to get access to US channels. If so which are available? In addition to this how is the Internet access? My husband will work from home and needs high speed internet. As well as what is the pricing for this services?

Any information is greatly appreciated.

There are 2 major providers in Qatar. OSN and Mozaic. The latter is a branch of Ooredoo, the local telecommunications provider. There is not a whole lot of difference between them except perhaps for some sports events. They both have websites with pricing and programming information. As for speed, well that can be hit or miss. Ooredoo is the only game in town for internet and while they advertise high speed broadband, it may not actually be the case 100% of the time even though you're paying for it. edited by marycatherine on 13/11/2014
