The 9 hole academy course is floodlit every evening and is open to Non-Members every day. Non-members cannot play on the 18 hole championship course at weekends unless they are invited by a member.

Thanks ladies, does that mean that the course is flood lit if non members can play on a tues night? Also is the 9-home a par 3? Can non-members be signed in by members on the weekend for 18 holes? TIA edited by Nosey Norah on 05/07/2012

I think anyone can go and play on the 9-hole grass course in Doha anytime - if you pay. You can play the 18 hole grass course in the week but I don't think you can play at the weekends unless you are a member - would have to check with my husband. There are two sand 18-hole courses - one in Dukhan and one in Mesaaid. I believe although they are QP courses other people can join.

Non-members can play on the academy (9hole) course at the weekend.

There is a second "sand" course down at Messaid. I know that you can play Tuesday evenings/nights at the Doha course without being a member. Membership is pretty pricey but I think they might be building another course...perhaps that will make it more affordable (although from what I can see why reduce the price when golfers are so fanatical that they will pay anything to play!) :)

Hubby loves his golf and living in Dubai for 2 years has spoiled him. From what I can see there is only one course in Qatar is that right? I also read that it's members only on a Friday and Saturday? Is there any way round this? Is it floodlit for night golf? TIA
