I bought a 180x210 bedroom set from Homecenter, planning to buy a mattress somewhere else as Hmoecenter only has 2 mattress types, soft and hard! I.e. I wasn't thinking straight & only realized this was an odd size after it was delivered to my house :)

Now I have realized that no-one except Homecenter stocks this mattress size!!! King Koil can provide this size but it would take a month and I need the mattress ASAP.

Did anyone else have this problem and what did you do?

Husband wants to buy a 180 x 200 cm mattress at King Koil but I am not happy spending QR7000 on a mattress and then living with a 10cm gap....

By the way what other mattress shops are out there, the Sealy store on Salwa road is filled with rubble and Ican't find Serta?

Thanks :)

The Sealy shop is open, the door next to the 'rubble site' is where you go in. We were there last week & walked out in disgust at the prices! We have just this weekend bought a bed & base set from King Koil (who are apparently also the agents for Serta - ?). The QR7000 option is a third of what Sealy are offering for a similar set & to me the King Koil is far superior. Sorry I can't help with the odd size of your set, just thought I'd comment on the above.

I bought a mattress from Origins Sofas -they have sizes that match Home Center Beds and the prices are reasonable, I think. http://www.originssofas.com/

To my surprise I see we took the Deluxe Comfor/2338-SD mattress. I usually go for the harder option, but it seems I didn't this time.

HomesRUs also have only 200cm length mattresses, not 210cm! Silly me for not double checking before I bought. Would appreciate any other pointers. Which of the 2 Homecenter options did you take Lettie? Orthopedic (hard) or deluxe (soft)?

I know you said the Home Center mattress is either too soft or too hard, but I must admit, it is the most comfortable mattress I ever slept on. I already panic when I think about the fact that I can't take the bed back home because it will not fit in the room back home. The quality of the mattress is not really up to standard and to find a fitted sheet is a nightmare. Up to now I only could find sheets at Home Center and the thread count is not up to my standard, but I still love my bed! From past experience I can tell you that it is really frustrating to have a mattress shorter than the bed, I won't go for that option.
