I am familiar with GNC but it doesn't have a few of the things I am looking for ie slippery elm, mastic gum, Aloe vera juice - so I am really hoping there are other nutrition/health shops here that someone can recommend?

I think I saw the mastic gum in Giant at Hyatt Plaza last week - it was in the bagged spice rack section I think near the water on the left hand wall as you enter the store edited by marycatherine on 24/01/2011

Bubblewrap I had a look in Carrefour last week but couldn't see it. I was looking where the spices are though, so maybe I should have been looking in the area where the cake/desert making indregients are? CSH that stand/shop in Villagio is a small GNC outlet. Their main shop is in City Centre. I've seen spirulina capsules in both. I was wanting spirulina powder but they don't stock it. I was also wanting chlorella too, a similar thing to spirulina but they don't have that either.:(

In Villaggio there is a stand/shop in the middle of the `street' just up from Go Sport that seems to sell some supplements. However, I have been on the look out for spirulina and wheatgrass - anyone seen that? I know there is a `diet' shop on the street opposite Al Alhli that is supposed to sell all kinds of health food things but I have never been there. That was where an arab lady told me to go when I was investigating supplements. Will try and go soon!

I think they are, unless someone knows about a secret health food store I should be shopping at. Sometimes Boots in Villagio has supplements that I want. BTW, I think you can purchase mastic gum in groceries in the baking section. It's used as an alternative to gelatin in desserts. They sell it in chunk or powdered form. I remember seeing it at Lulu and somewhere else, maybe Carrefour. edited by bubblewrap83 on 23/01/2011

Thanks Bubblewrap. Great to know I can get the AV juice at City Centre. I've been going to the one at Villagio. Still, it seems GNC are the only major serious sources for supplements etc in town right?

Cassie, which GNC did you visit? I visited the one in City Center last weekend and noticed Aloe Vera juice.
