I'm moving to Doha soon from the UK- probably seems like a silly question!...can i shop online as normal from Amazon, E-bay, Next etc....mainly for baby/toddler clothes/toys/books...
Any shopping advice appreciated!

Hi, Adding to what Ausgirl wrote, you can shop online in the UK/US/Canada and have it shipped to Doha through Aramex's Shop and Ship Service: [url=http://www.shopandship.com/'>link[/url'> DHL also have a similar service. Basically, this service enables you to ship to Aramex's UK warehouse and then they transport the items to Doha, where you collect it from their office or Landmark Mall. You pay extra for the transport to Doha, but usually it still cheaper to shop online in the UK than it is to buy the same goods here. I shop online extensively and done a lot of cost comparisons, so it's often worth buying it online and paying the extra shipment costs than trying to find the equivalent here. The delivery times are relatively quick from the time you place the order to receiving it in Doha- usually only takes a few days to get here once it's received at the UK warehouse. HTH!

Hi Tyrone, no need to worry about Next, because Next are here in all the major malls. There are lots of the major UK stores here, they are just smaller than your local branches. Bookstores are pretty limited though. If you google the malls you should be able to find a list of the stores - try Landmark and City Centre Mall, (plus Villagio when it reopens). You can shop online from Amazon, Ebay etc, the only problem being that some vendors won't deliver here, plus there is no street delivery of mail. People use a service like Aramax.
