The visa they were talking about was the part of the RP that they stick in your passport.
You were right -same day renewal is a simple and painless process and they completed my son's renewal in about 3 minutes! Oh, and it cost QR800, payable only by credit card.
I only know the immigration at Khalifa so sorry can't help you with that. You'll need your passport, a couple of photos with blue background (may only be one but take 2 just in case) and you'll have to sign the form. They should be able to do it in the day - our's always get renewed in one day. Out of interest what visa are they talking about? Or do they just mean your RP? Good luck!!
Hi ladies, here is a rather boring question so apologies in advance!
While my passport was being renewed, my RP expired on the 14th of April. My new passport is due to arrive tomorrow morning (inshallah!) and I am due to fly out of Doha tomorrow evening at 6pm. (Yes, I know it's tight...hyperventilating as I type)
My husband's HR dept. have advised me that I can get my RP renewed and my visa sorted out then and there at immigration tomorrow.
HR will need to copy my passport, write a letter and fill in some forms. Then my husband and I have to go to immigration.
Has anybody done this before? HR say I can do it at Abu Hamour which is nearby. Can anyone direct me to this branch? Can anyone advise me of the steps I need to take and what I should bring please?
I would appreciate any input at all before I have a heart attack! Thank you very much.
