Hi Oz4
Thank you for your reply, this is very helpful, great to have he view of someone who is already there. I hadn't made the connection that the Al Rayyan Oasis is the Sidra medical housing. It certainly does look very nice.
Have a wonderful day !!
Hi Goldenshores, I was there recently and we were shown the 'Al Rayyan Oasis'. Its a spanking new compound (literally the furnture still had plastic on it) comprised of villas (i think 80, not sure) on the outer perimeter and 2 storey apartments on the inner perimeter with half of those apartments surrounding and overlooking the olympic size pool (apparently biggest in Doha compounds). The villas are 4 bedroom and apartments 2/3 bed (not sure). Adjacent to the pool is a 3 storey clubhouse with gym, squash, tennis, basket ball courts. They were setting up a restaurant and small market when we visited. The accommodation is fully furnished: furniture, tv, whitegoods, linen, towels, cutlery etc..actually quite nicely furnished although the colour scheme in the villas was a bitt off (red/green lounge) but can be changed easily with covers. The colour scheme in apartment was nice and neutral (white lounge). In terms of its location, it didn't seem that far out (other compounds around) and mostly everything can be reached in 10-15min. I think someone living in Doha can give more info about location.
We were also shown outside accommodation such as at the Pearl etc...and were told that depending on your grade you would have the option of housing allowance and could find something. But the advice was (which I agree with) is come and stay in Sidra accommodation initially then once you have your bearings( if you want to change) you can move out. I will make sure this clause is stated in the contract! For me the villas are a bit small and I would prefer something larger.
Hi
Can anyone tell me what the Sidra Medical housing compound is like ? Is it close to anything ? It looks to be a little bit out of the way.
I have applied for a management position and they said they provide housing.
Thanks in advance !
