Holy Cow! Find out why a visit to Baladna Farm & Park in Doha is a moooving experience.

This family-friendly farm and park in Doha is the cream of the crop
Pile the kids and their friends in the car and head out to Baladna Farm and Park for a fun-filled day.
Nearly an hour’s drive from Doha in Al Khor, it is a slight jaunt but well worth the visit.
The farm started in 2014 as a sheep and goat farm. With the economic and political embargo in 2017, Qatar was no longer able to import milk from Saudi Arabia and required an alternative solution. As a result, Baladna air transported 4,000 dairy cows from Germany to commence milk production.
Since this bold initiative, Baladna has achieved its goal of meeting the domestic demand for dairy products and even exports product to countries like Afghanistan.
Baladna has a sprawling farm containing 40 state-of-the-art barns, 2 hospital parlours, 6 milking rotaries, and one water treatment plant.
Baladna is currently home to 14,000 Holstein cows and has the capacity to house up to 24,000 cows. This fresh milk supplier provides over 85% of Qatar's fresh dairy product.
You can visit the Visitor’s Center and witness the cows being milked on the large rotating parlour while learning about the farm and its history.
Baladna Park’s Fantastic Fun Zone
Inside Baladna Park are two expansive playgrounds.
The first playground is an area dedicated to children between two and eight years old. Kids can play while parents can relax and watch their little ones zip across the playground. Just beyond this playground is another play area catering to older children with more complex climbing equipment, like a towering rope pyramid, and a mini zip line.
For older children and adults, there is an Extreme Sports Zone which contains a large climbing frame with a heightened obstacle course and a zip line. It might be worth calling ahead of your visit to ensure the Extreme Sports Zone is open as it was closed for maintenance during our visit.
If climbing and heights are not your thing, there are plenty of other activities. There is a large pond with bumper boats, 3 bungee trampolines, car racing, bicycles, pony riding, and a small gold mining experience. Each of these activities are an additional charge ranging from QAR 20 – 70 per activity if you purchase a Limited Access entrance to the Park.
The Limited Access pass is QAR 55 for children under 16 years old and grants access to the Animal Zone, Kid’s Playground, Adventure Land and Reptile Cave. Limited Access is QAR 35 for over 16 years of age.
The other alternative is to purchase Full Access Entrance which includes all activities for QAR 105 for below 16 years old and QAR 65 for 16+.
There is also an archery area which is included in the Full Access Pass or QAR 20 for the Limited Access pass, however, please note it is for adults over 18 years of age only.
Animal Zone
Within the Park, there is an area dedicated to outdoor enclosures that contain camels, emus, white ostriches, zebras, rabbits, alpacas, giant tortoises, peacocks, and other birds. While you cannot pet the animals, you can purchase food at QAR 10 to feed them through the cages.
The Reptile Cove is a separate building showcasing snakes, iguanas and frogs.
Food and Drink
Inside the Park, there are a few kiosks selling karak, coffee, and pizza. There is also a general store with snacks and drinks. You can enjoy a cappuccino while watching your children play or purchase a snack for your energetic children. Please note, no outside food or drink is allowed in the Park.
Outside of the Park and on the farm grounds is the Baladna Gourmet & Grill. The food features traditional regional cuisine of mixed grills, biryani, clay pots, manakeesh, delicious desserts and much more. There were 6 of us and we devoured our lunch as it was extremely tasty.
Inside the Gourmet & Grill, you can purchase a wide range of Baladna products including milk, yogurt, laban, and juice.

- Hours: Sunday to Thursday 10:00 – 19:00, Friday 12:00 – 20:00, Saturday 10:00-20:00. Please note that Baladna Park closes in the summer, so it is best to check the up to date schedule.
- Accessibility: Baladna Park is accessible to wheelchairs and there are handicap accessible restroom facilities.
