Qatar authorities have announced that retail shop owners will now be able to renew their commercial licences online much faster.

If you have a retail shop, paperwork has just gotten easier for you.
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has announced that retail shop owners will now be able to renew their commercial licences online in a much faster manner.
The new service will allow investors to immediately renew their commercial licences, instead of the required 48 hours.

This is part of several smart electronic services the Ministry has been developing to improve the business environment in the country.
How to renew?
Renewal can be done through the ministry’s website here>>
You will need to upload the following documents:

A copy of the identification papers of the applicant and business owner

Third-party approvals (if applicable)
-
Civil Defence approval (if applicable)
You will then need to pay the fees and the licence will be emailed to you instantly. Make sure the email registered at the Ministry is up to date.

Other ways to renew
If you wish to renew your commercial licence in person, you can do so at the Ministry headquarters in Lusail or at any of the Ministry’s branches.
You will still need to fill out the application form electronically (available on the Ministry’s website) and the same documents listed above.

Other electronic services
The Ministry has recently developed several e-services to facilitate the process for its residents.
These services include obtaining information about companies, issuing and renewing commercial registrations and requesting non-ownership certificates.
