Television

Al Jazeera (www.english.aljazeera.net / and Arabic www.aljazeera.net/Portal), Qatar’s Doha based television network is famously known for its fresh approach to news, media and content. It has been overwhelmingly accepted and popular in the Middle East and Far East region and has expanded to several regions across the world. Qatar is linked to its neighbours and other continents via Microwave relay troposphere scatter submarine cable and satellite.
Qatar TV has two operating stations namely Channel One, which is in arabic and Channel Two which is mostly in English.
Qatar Cablevision is cable television accessed by purchasing a decoder once off and paying a subscription to your preffered network. These decoders also have free-to-air channels on them.
Mozaic Tv is a newly introduced sattelite television network that can be purchased for a monthly subscription through Qtel. It offers the viewer 160 channels with an electronic television guide and pay per view channels.

Newspapers  

The 3 main English newspapers in Qatar are the Gulf times, Qatar Tribune and the Peninsula. Foreign newspapers are also available but arrive one day later.
The main Arabic language newspapers are Al Raya, Al Sharq and Al Watan and are available for QR2. 
There are many locally published and printed magazines and publications as well as imported publications available for purchase. The imported magazines can be ten times the price that they are in your home country.

Radio

Qatar is home to a variety of radio broadcasts in multiple languages.
