Phase four in Qatar will be split into two phases this September

Qatar moves into phase four of reopening the economy on Tuesday, September 1st, 2020.
The Supreme Committee for Crisis Management has consistently been monitoring the virus in the country, and based on the latest public health indicators and Covid-19 infection rate, phase four will be split into two phases.
The first phase will start on September 1 and the second phase will commence on the third week of September. Here's what you can expect:
What's happening in the first phase?
Here's a list of what changes will be implemented in Qatar in the first phase, as well as what will continue:
- All mosques will reopen to perform daily and Friday prayers. Toilets and ablution facilities remain closed
- Social gatherings of up to 15 people indoors
- Social gatherings of up to 30 people outdoors
- Maximum capacity of employees in both public and private sectors will remain at 80%
- Indoor wedding celebrations with a maximum of 40 people
- Outdoor wedding celebrations with a maximum of 80 people
- Hosts of parties, weddings, and other celebrations are required to keep a record of all the guests
- Maximum 5 people per table at a party, with two metres distance between each group
- Cinemas and theatres can have a max customer capacity of 15%, with only those who are 18 years old and above permitted entry
- Playgrounds and leisure centres remain closed
- Metro and public transport services will resume with a max customer capacity of 30%
- Local exhibitions can take place, with a max intake capacity of 30%
- Personal boat and yacht rentals will continue with a max passenger capacity of 30%, including boat workers
- Qatar’s travel policy will continue, and the Ministry of Public Health will update the list of low-risk countries periodically
- Driving schools can continue with a max capacity of 50%
- Summer camps and the use of sports equipment in public parks will remain closed
- Audiences can attend sports events with a max capacity of 20% for indoors and 30% for outdoors
- Private health clinics to resume work in full capacity
- Normal working hours at malls and shopping centres will continue, with a capacity of 50%
- Keep food courts open with a capacity of 30%
- Children can enter shopping malls
- Restaurants in Qatar can increase capacity to 30%
- Souks can operate with a 75% capacity
- Wholesale markets can increase capacity to 50%
- Museums and public libraries to operate in full capacity and normal hours
- Health clubs, gyms, and public swimming pools will continue operating at 50% capacity
- Massage and sauna services in approved facilities can operate at a 30% capacity
- Indoor swimming pools to open at 30% max capacity
- Home beauty, massage, fitness training, and barber services will continue to remain suspended
- Private education and training centres can continue operations at 50% capacity
- Hospitality and cleaning services in workplaces and in homes can resume at a 30% capacity
The Supreme Committee for Crisis Management said that the evaluation of lifting restrictions and safety measures in Qatar will depend on the cooperation of all and the commitment to following precautionary measures, such as wearing face masks while outside, washing hands, maintaining a safe distance, and using the Ehteraz application.
