Compounds in Bahrain?

Hello all - looking for comfortable compounds in Bahrain, work will be in the Riffa area, and no schools need to be factored into the equation - just comfortable, fairly quiet, safe and some amenities like a pool, small shops closeby, etc.
Any suggestions? I noticed a few people live in the Riffa area - where did you choose to live and why?
