Bahrain will be issuing e-visas to attendees who have official invitations for the mass.

With the announcement of Pope Francis' landmark visit to Bahrain, many devout Catholics in the kingdom and neighbouring countries are excited to see the pontiff in person.

The historic open-air mass will begin at 8:30AM on Saturday November 5th, 2022. Considering the limited capacity of the mass' venue, the Bahrain National Stadium, worshippers interested in attending are urged to register soon.

Organisers of the pope's visit have estimated that 28,000 people will attend the mass, out of which 24,000 are from Bahrain, 2,000 registered from Saudi Arabia, 500 each for the UAE, Kuwait, and Oman, and an additional 900 spots for Catholics from other countries.

Attendees for the public service led by the pontiff will have to meet at the Bahrain International Circuit from 2AM onwards, and from there transport to the stadium will be through government-provided buses. The venue will open from 4AM onwards, and organisers are expecting the stadium to fill up before the mass starts.

The service will be the highlight of Pope Francis' four-day visit to the region, which will start on November 3. During his visit, the pontiff will also meet with regional religious leaders, visit local churches, and see a local school.
