I am looking for a really cheap haircut, I have long hair that I tie up every day to keep them out of my baby's little claws so not looking for a complicated hairstyle or willing to invest a fortune! It is really a case of just snip snipping the dead ends off my hair in a straight line and if I could see behind my head I would seriously do it myself! Any suggestions? I know about the hairdressing academy but I can only go after 7 p.m. in the evenings so that doesn't work for me.
Grrrr it is so annoying how much cheaper men's haircuts are, my husband thinks spending QR90 on a haircut is pretty pricey.... and his hair requires far more skill than mine!!!!

zookeeper, would you have a specific lady who cuts your hair there and do you know if they work on Saturdays? I only need a trim and this sounds just right;). My regular one made an absolute mess last time - for the cut not just a trim:(!

Thanks zookpeer and marykatherine. Got my hair cut at J&J near Landmark for QR100 and happy with the results. I have seen the London salon before, will seriously consider going there next time as a mani, pedi and haircut for QR140 sounds GREAT!!!

My place is a little side street, mostly philippina ladies, and one does an excellent job on my hair. I'll try to find the name and give some directions and it is probably the shady side of 100 Riyals for wash cut and blowdry but I get what I want. Sometimes it's hard to make a recommendation because we all have such different expectations etc. Good luck on your search.

Hi Novice, I go to London salon behind Chili's (C Ring) that is right next to the Eli France Cafe. The haircut is 60 QR and great! I am very picky about my haircuts, and was actually very satisfied going there. They all speak English and as long as you tell the hairdresser exactly what you want, you will get it. Don't be afraid to have them make corrections once they are done. I always want something changed after I see it finished... like a little shorter, or more layers. I had a very hard time find a decent place here that didn't seriously overcharge, and one day I just went to in to try it figuring my hair was already in bad shape since it had been so long since my last cut what did I have to loose? Anyway, I got a GREAT cut and didn't have to hear my husband complain about the cost!! I usually get a mani/pedi and cut for total 140 QR. It really beats the 300 just for a simple (not even great) haircut at some of the fancier places. I was tired of only hearing Glow/Dados as a suggestion! I do know they are open until 9 or 10, so evening will be no problem! Hope this helps.

No.. I haven't found a QR90 ladies haircut - that was for my husband!!!! Men's haircuts are cheaper. Do you ALL go to pricey places like Glow for posh haircuts? Feeling very unglamourous now....

If you've found a place that charges 90 QR you're fortunate. Most places I've found charge 200 or more. I have heard that some of the salons that the locals use might be cheaper, though I have not looked for any. But if you just need someone to cut a straight line, I should think anyone could do that. Why not get your husband or a female friend to do it?
