does anyone know of a Cardiologist in Doha? I need an appointment for friday. Its super urgent!

Can anyone help me. Its for my husband. He needs an echo.

cagirlintexas - sorry, that you sound a bit anxious. I am guessing that you mentioned Friday because DH cannot take time away from work before that. As RachelA mentioned, he could probably be seen through a walk-in on Friday as they do not do appointments on that day. He could also consider going to their A&E Dept. However, it is worth remembering that if he needs an echo and he is proviced insurance cover by his employer, Al Ahli might need a day or two, to get clearance from the insurance company. I am not saying that to worry you but so you are aware of the time factor. So even if he is seen as a walk-in on Friday (consultation charge, no problem on insurance) they might not be able to do the echo then. Any chance he might try to secure an appointment with the cardiologist and go on Wed or Thurs evening, thus speeding the process for clearance for an echo. Whatever his decision, my very best wishes that it gets sorted.

A friend who recently had some serious heart issues went to see Dr. Patel at Al Ahli. He was recommended to them by cardiologists they knew on in other countries, and said that "he was the best." Apparently he was in the process of moving from Al Ahli to Hamad so I'm not sure where he is at the moment, but he comes highly (and I mean HIGHLY) recommended. Good luck - hope all is okay.

Check out the Al Ahli website, they have a dedicated Heart health Centre (which I am attending), call 44898261 for an appointment. They are really good and efficient.

Most clinics don't book Friday appointments, but I know that Al Ahli does a Friday walk-in Clinic in many departments. Not sure about Cardio, but I know internal medicine has one.
